New Robeks Menu Draws More Customers, Boosts Profits

New Robeks Menu Is a Hit With Customers and Franchisees: Customer Traffic up 5%, Inventory Costs Down

LOS ANGELES, CA - (Marketwire - Apr 8, 2013) - Robeks, a premium smoothie and juice franchise that has been on the forefront of healthy eating trends for nearly 20 years, has given its menu a major overhaul, which has resulted in more customers, more sales and lower inventory costs for franchise owners.

The 113-store franchise system completed a nationwide rollout of its new menu in January. It features 20 new products, including:

  • Smoothies made with Greek yogurt, which has twice as much protein and fewer carbohydrates than regular yogurt. Robeks is the first franchise to offer Greek yogurt in smoothies. Three Greek yogurt smoothies are part of the regular menu, and Greek yogurt can be used instead of traditional yogurt in any other smoothie for a small fee.
  • Kale smoothies and juices, which have quickly become popular by giving customers a tasty way to experience the leafy green superfood.
  • New vegetable juices, which pack impressive amounts of nutrients into a fresh, low-calorie, low-sugar drink.

The changes are designed to appeal to more customers by expanding on the innovative approach to health, nutrition and taste that have made Robeks a premium brand since 1996. The menu has also been reorganized into categories like "Performance," "Power," "Nature's Best" and "Fan Favorites" to help customers understand which items may best suit their needs.

The new menu has attracted new customers, raising store traffic by 5%. At the same time, less popular menu items were eliminated, which lowered inventory costs and cleared space on the store's menu board to feature popular new innovations as well as specials.

"Robeks has created several great new smoothies and juices over the past 18 months, and this new menu allows us to highlight the premium smoothies and fresh-squeezed raw juices that set us apart from the competition," CEO Steve Davidson said. "We're pleased to see that our market research has borne itself out in the results that franchisees are enjoying."

Robeks is coming off a year of consistent sales growth, and the new menu has provided a further boost to bottom lines. Entrepreneurs looking to open an innovative, healthy franchise can learn more at
