It Doesn’t Get Any Sweeter – Dickey’s Introduces Miss Ollie’s Tea Nationwide

Nation’s Largest Barbecue Franchise Offers a Sweet New Tea

DALLAS - April 12, 2013 - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Miss Ollie Dickey, mother of Roland and T.D. Dickey, was known for her sweet southern charm and delicious sun tea made right on her front porch – it was a Dickey family favorite. Now, everyone can enjoy Miss Ollie's famous tea at all Dickey’s Barbecue Restaurants nationwide. On April 17, Dickey’s Barbecue will introduce Miss Ollie’s Tea at all of its 300 locations.

“Nothing goes better with barbecue than Miss Ollie’s Tea -- it’s the perfect complement to our slow smoked meats and homemade sides,” said Roland Dickey, Jr., President and CEO of Dickey’s Barbecue Restaurants, Inc. “I can’t wait for our customers to taste it – we have really captured Miss Ollie’s slow sun brewed taste.”

Miss Ollie’s Tea is a proprietary recipe made just for Dickey’s. The new tea is a loose leaf tea made from a crisp blend of the finest orange pekoe and pekoe cut black tea from around the world. Miss Ollie’s Tea provides significantly more flavor due to the higher quality and significantly larger leaf pieces. Customers can enjoy Miss Ollie’s Tea in a Big Yellow Cup or in a one-gallon jug.

“Sweet tea is a customer favorite at Dickey’s Barbecue and our new recipe is an improved product that provides a bolder and richer flavor,” said Dickey. “My grandmother was a great woman and would be proud to put her name on this quality product."

Miss Ollie’s Tea is freshly brewed in each restaurant and is available sweetened or unsweetened. It will be available in all Dickey’s locations April 17.
