Flip Flop Shops Partners with ROXY and Quiksilver for July Contest
“Designer for the Day” Promotion Sends Two Lucky Winners to ROXY/Quiksilver Headquarters to Meet Design Team and Create Custom Sandals for Flip Flop Shops
July 01, 2013 // Franchising.com // ATLANTA – Flip Flop Shops is teaming up with Quiksilver and ROXY to give two lucky winners the chance of a lifetime: visiting the ROXY/Quiksilver headquarters to create their own pair of custom flip flops.
Throughout July, consumers at any of the Flip Flop Shops locations across the United States, Canada, and Guam will have the chance to enter to win a trip for two to the ROXY/Quiksilver headquarters in Huntington Beach, Calif. to meet the design team and create a pair of custom flip flops. Each brand will select one winner with the best design and send them to California this September to help with the flip flop design process. ROXY and Quiksilver will then produce the winning sandal and it will be sold exclusively at Flip Flop Shops locations during the Summer of 2014. As an added bonus, Flip Flop Shops will pay the designer 50 cents for every pair of flip flops sold.
Interested participants can pick up entry forms at their local Flip Flop Shops or download from the Flip Flop Shops website and either return the entry to the location or email the submission to DesignerForTheDay@FlipFlopShops.com.To be considered, contestants must show Flip Flop Shops their idea of the ultimate ROXY/Quiksilver flip flop. Each participating Flip Flop Shops location will choose their favorite ROXY and Quiksilver submission based on specific judging criteria. All the top submissions will then be sent to the ROXY/Quiksilver headquarters to determine the final winners.

As part of the contest, each Flip Flop Shops location will receive a promotional facelift, complete with Quiksilver and ROXY window clings, peg talkers, and cash-wrap posters. In addition, each shop’s unique and innovative “flip flop tree” will be exclusively dedicated to ROXY and Quiksilver product lines. Flip Flop Shops’ staff will create further awareness for the promotion by wearing Quiksilver and ROXY footwear. In addition, ROXY and Quiksilver will be donating 50 cents of the proceeds from each custom sandal sold to “the Heart To Sole” campaign, which was launched by Flip Flop Shops in 2013 to encourage people throughout North America to begin making lifestyle changes to reduce stress at home and in the workplace.
