Battery Giant Opens Austin, Texas Store in a Big Way

Austin, TX (PRWEB) July 17, 2013 - Battery Giant recently celebrated the opening of their newest retail battery store in Austin, TX with a bash that included catering for guests, free battery giveaways, prizes, a live band, and the opportunity to help customers in need.

Battery Giant is more than just a store that sells batteries. Their staff consists of highly trained battery specialists who understand how batteries work and why they fail. An example of this came up during the Grand Opening with a gentleman who took his vehicle to a big box retailer. Their staff was unable to diagnose the battery issue and the customer, Sam, made his way to Battery Giant for some help. “The staff at Battery Giant was able to determine that my battery was severely damaged due to high heat,” Sam stated. “They literally went out of their way to deliver and install a new battery where my vehicle was stranded to get it back up and running.”

This franchise location is owned and operated by Larry Metzger. Larry has made Austin his home for more than twenty-five years. He spent greater than thirty years as an engineer and manager in the microelectronics industry, including in design/development roles and a variety of leadership roles, and working with teams around the world. Batteries, like semiconductors, are solutions-oriented business, and Larry derives great pleasure in working with people from all backgrounds and working to help solve their problems.
