World of Beer is now in the Tampa Bay Times Forum
August 28, 2013 - World of Beer (WOB), a thriving beer-centric tavern boasting an extensive collection of brews from around the globe, will open a new Florida location in the Tampa Bay Times Forum today, August 28th, 2013. This is World of Beer’s 23rd location in Florida, and 46th location nationwide. World of Beer recently opened in Belmar, CO, Katy, TX, and Jacksonville, FL with plans to soon expand into New Brunswick, NJ.
Located in the Tampa Bay Times Forum in downtown Tampa, WOB at the Forum will offer 10 different beers on tap and an inventory of canned beers as well. The 670,000 square foot Tampa Bay Times Forum opened in 1996 and has since become the home of many unforgettable moments, including sold out concerts performed by Tim McGraw, Elton John and Garth Brooks. As home of the Tampa Bay Lightning, the Forum is an established and well- recognized arena in the Tampa Bay area, as well as the entire country. WOB at the Forum will be open during all events, with the exception of those geared towards a younger audience.
“We have chosen to be involved with the Tampa Bay Times Forum so that we can spread WOB Culture to fans everywhere,” said Beth Weber Tierney, WOB Director of Marketing. “This is a great opportunity to appeal to all different demographics and spread awareness of our growing brand.”
The opening lineup for draughts includes Goose Island Honkers, Pilsner Urquell, Cigar City Jai Alai, and several more. The selection of cans will consist of Kona Longboard, Samuel Adams Boston Lager, and Cigar City Maduro, among others. Also on the menu will be a selection of wine, craft spirits and WOB-exclusive craft cocktails such as the MargarIPA and the BeerBerry Cosmo. As the first WOB to open in a sports arena, this location is an ideal spot for sports fans and concert attendees.
Centrally located on the lower level of the Tampa Bay Times Forum, WOB at the Forum will spread the World of Beer culture to guests who may have never been to one, or experienced the different tastes and products that WOB has to offer for everyone. The WOB Culture is founded on the coming together of friends over a shared enthusiasm for music, sports and great beer. The Tampa Bay Times Forum is the pinnacle of live entertainment in Tampa Bay, and World of Beer is bringing the taste of great craft beer to the mix.
“We are so fortunate to present the World of Beer experience to the sports and entertainment patrons of the Tampa Bay Times Forum, and to partner with this World Class ownership & leadership team,” said World of Beer CEO Paul Avery. “Our quality “Craft Beers” will certainly complement the energetic atmosphere at the Forum.”
It can be said that the ‘WOB Culture’ is unlike any other. The specially-trained staff has completed an intensive, two- week beer school, and is on-hand to guide customers through the World of Beer experience, centered around a global menu of beverages, live music and televised sports.
WOB steadily rewards its customers by offering a Loyalty Club Program that enables them to earn points by trying different beers. Guests earn one point for every different beer purchased at WOB, gaining them access, appreciation and rewards that only WOB can offer. The program is available to all guests, and is easily accessible through the WOB app (available for iPhone and Android smartphones). It's WOB culture in the palm of your hand.
