Roetzel Promotes Two Associates to Partner

December 10, 2013 - Roetzel is pleased to announce the elevation of two of its Associates to Partner.

"We are pleased to recognize these attorneys for their impressive legal accomplishments," said Jeffrey J. Casto, Roetzel’s Chairman and CEO. "Both of our new Partners will have an important role to play in the growth of their respective practice groups and the firm."

James Carlin, located in the firm’s Orlando, Florida, office is a part of the firm’s Real Estate Practice Group. In the course of his practice in real estate law, he has worked with developers negotiating and closing multimillion-dollar deals. He has extensive commercial and residential real estate law experience, including acquisition, sale, leasing, development, title insurance, survey, contract preparation and negotiation, and financing. Mr. Carlin earned his J.D. from George Washington University Law School and his B.A. in Environmental Science and History from Duke University.

Jessica Davis, in the firm’s Columbus, Ohio, office is a member of the firm’s Medical Defense and Health Care Litigation Practice Group. Jessica is also involved in business and commercial litigation, handles matters before the Board of Revision and Board of Tax Appeals and both step-parent and private adoptions. Her clients include hospitals, physicians and nursing homes as well as businesses in various industries. Ms. Davis has been selected as an "Ohio Super Lawyers – Rising Star" by Ohio Super Lawyers magazine every year since 2012. She earned her J.D. from Capital University Law School, graduating cum laude, and her B.A. from the University of Central Florida.
