Right at Home Launches in Brisbane, Bringing In-home Senior Care Solutions to Ageing Australians

Number of Seniors in Australia Expected to Double; Signals Growing Demand for Senior Care

BRISBANE, QLD - March 12, 2014 - According to the Australian Bureau of Statistics, the senior population of Australia is due for a significant upsurge over the next century. The Federal Government Inter-generation Report (IGR) projects that over the next 40 years, the proportion of the population over 65 years will almost double to around 25 percent. Furthermore, by 2030, 9 percent of the population over 65 is predicted to be living with Dementia - which will number nearly 500,000 Australians. Additionally, people aren't just growing older; they are living longer due to an increased commitment to health and wellness, as well as the advancement of medicine.
