MOOYAH Burgers, Fries & Shakes Opens First Restaurant in Morgan Hill; Second in California

Morgan Hill Couple Spearhead Better Burger Concept in Central California

Dallas, TX (PRWEB) July 16, 2014 - As a growing number of burger enthusiasts snub their noses at run-of-the-mill burger chains, an increasing number of Guests are flocking to MOOYAH Burgers, Fries & Shakes as the brand's reputation for delicious, made-to-order burgers grows. In the brand's latest developments, residents of Morgan Hill, California will now have easier access to MOOYAH's family-friendly dining experience with the opening of their newest restaurant at 255 Vineyard Town Center, Morgan Hill on Monday, July 14, 2014.

The Morgan Hill MOOYAH marks the brand's second opening in California, and will be the first of multiple restaurants that franchise owners Terry and Brit Ratto hope to establish. Eager to introduce and serve MOOYAH to more burger aficionadas across Santa Clara County, the husband and wife team are already slated to open their second restaurant in Los Gatos in November of 2014.

"My wife and I had been looking for a new concept for about four years, so we are beyond excited to finally be opening our very first MOOYAH restaurant," Terry said. "From the very beginning, we were incredibly impressed with MOOYAH's brand philosophy, and we believe that our community members in Morgan Hill will feel the same way. The food is incredible, and the atmosphere and experience are hard to beat. It's going to be a great fit for the central California market."

Terry has owned a commercial construction company with his brother since 1985, and Brit worked as a Senior VP for National First Credit Union for the past 14 years. The couple has ties to the restaurant industry, as they are investors in a five-star restaurant in San Francisco called Spruce. They also raise and show horses throughout the western United States, something Terry calls a "hobby, business and passion." After spending the past few years trying to land on a concept while in search of a new business venture, they were thrilled to find MOOYAH and now, to bring the brand to an area they love.

"California is an incredible market for MOOYAH, as there is a growing demand for 'better burger' concepts in the state," said Michael Mabry, Vice President of Operations and Franchise Development for MOOYAH. "We have been able to achieve this loyal following thanks to our team of local entrepreneurs that continue to uphold MOOYAH's commitment to quality food and service and we are really looking forward to having the Rattos spearhead our growth in the Golden State."

At MOOYAH, Guests start their made-to-order burger experience by choosing from freshly-baked white or whole wheat buns, or a low-carb bun replacement of iceberg lettuce leaves called the Iceburger. Next, Guests have the option of never-frozen 100 percent American beef, Jennie-O® turkey or the mouthwatering black bean veggie patty, all decorated with unlimited veggies, a choice of 11 delectable sauces, five different cheeses, and other premium toppings such as Applewood bacon and sliced avocado.

In addition, the sides and dessert are not to be forgotten. MOOYAH French fries are not an afterthought, but a crucial component of the whole MOOYAH experience. The daily-cut spuds are always cooked fresh, and transformed into the perfect French fries through a proprietary six-step, 24-hour process. Guests also have the option of the ever-popular Sweet Potato Fries. To offset the savory side of the menu, MOOYAH offers handcrafted shakes made with 100 percent real ice cream. Like their burgers, MOOYAH shakes can be customized with fun ice cream flavors and sweet toppings such as M&M's®, cookie dough and Reese's® PB cups.

MOOYAH has plans to continue its sustained expansion, and predicts the brand will add over 1,000 jobs to local communities through its restaurant openings in 2014. The burger franchise shows no signs of slowing down and aims to deliver a simple American classic that's not only made well, but produced in a friendly and comfortable environment to new and untapped markets in the future.
