Franchisee Mike Pyne of Towson, where his Maui Wowi store is located off E. Joppa Rd., returns for his third year as a vendor at the Baltimore Book Festival. He will be working alongside fellow franchisee Lisa Giacobbe from Jarrettsville, Maryland, and together they will serve customers from two locations at the event, which has recently been relocated to the Inner Harbor

"This is our third year at the Baltimore Book Festival and we are very excited about the new venue," said Pyne. "We hope that bringing this event to the Inner Harbor will increase attendance and awareness for the authors and programs involved with this event and that visitors will enjoy our quality Maui Wowi beverages while they're here."

Maui Wowi will have two of their mobile tiki hut style event carts set up at the Inner Harbor, with one in Rash Field and the other near the Light Street Pavilion and Visitors Center. Giacobbe and Pyne will both oversee operations while blending up fresh made smoothies and brewing cups of premium Hawaiian coffee.

"The opportunity to work with Lisa will allow us to spread more Aloha Spirit and offer visitors two locations to get their Maui Wowi fix," said Pyne. "It's shaping up to be an excellent weekend in the heart of Baltimore."

Each Maui Wowi location will offer a variety of blended frozen espresso drinks, along with fruit smoothies in flavors such as Strawberry, Mango Orange, and Pina Colada. Fresh brewed Kona Blend Coffee will also be available.

The event will be held Friday and Saturday from 12-8 p.m. and Sunday from 12-6 p.m. and is free to the public.
