FranConnect Announces Christopher Fountain as New Chief Executive Officer

Leading Provider of Franchise Management Systems Welcomes New CEO to Take the Company to the Next Level

April 02, 2015 // Franchising.com // RESTON, Va. – FranConnect, the leading provider of franchise management software, announced today that Christopher Fountain has joined the firm as its new CEO. Mr. Fountain has more than 25 years of experience growing and building successful software companies. He’s passionate about building high performance teams that deliver tangible results to customers.

Fountain’s vision for FranConnect is simple: to continue the company’s rapid growth by focusing first on customer satisfaction. Customer satisfaction will be achieved by listening closely to our customers, recruiting and motivating talented people, building industry leading high quality products and delivering exceptional service. The company will focus on franchise brands and franchisees – with an emphasis on franchisee success as it drives brand success.

“FranConnect is the leader in a growing market,” Fountain said. “Today, we have the privilege of serving industry leading brands and franchisees across North America. Our software as a service (SaaS) solutions enable our customers to maximize their success and achieve their goals. I am honored and delighted to have the opportunity to lead FranConnect.”

Fountain will be taking over from FranConnect founder, Amit Pamecha, CFE, who started the company more than 14 years ago and has acted as its Founder and CEO since then. Pamecha will continue to serve as a FranConnect board member, as well as play a key strategic role in leading the vision for FranConnect’s products, while helping out with key initiatives in franchising, including “Students in Franchising” and a Franchising University.

“Chris has a depth of experience in leading software and services companies,” Pamecha said. “He is well-known for building companies that balance tremendous growth with exceptional customer focus.”

“As we looked for the right leader for the next phase of FranConnect, we wanted to ensure, first and foremost, it would be a leader who would put our customers’ needs first,” Pamecha continued. “In speaking with those who worked with Chris, they described him as very customer-oriented and someone who spends a lot of his time understanding what customers need. As I have come to know Chris, I am more confident than ever in the future of FranConnect as we continue to grow and enable our clients’ growth through the products and services we provide.”

FranConnect’s investment partner is Serent Capital, a San Francisco Bay Area private equity firm. Serent partners with growing, profitable technology businesses with distinct business models and compelling solutions that address their customers’ needs.

“Serent is pleased that the addition of Christopher Fountain directly aligns with our mission to deliver extraordinary returns by partnering with outstanding executive teams to grow exceptional businesses,” stated Kevin Frick, Co-Founder and Partner at Serent Capital. “Bringing Chris on to lead this capable team into the future stems from our goal to continually innovate in order to deliver additional value to FranConnect clients.”
