Sbarro Celebrates Its Roots with Italian Sausage and Peppers Pizza

The Limited Time Offering Will Be Available Starting October 21 in Participating Locations

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Oct. 20, 2015 // PRNewswire // - Italian lovers rejoice! Starting October 21, Sbarro will introduce a new pizza inspired by the classic Italian sausage sub. Reminiscent of the flavors available at Italian restaurants, street festivals and stadiums, the Classic Italian Sausage & Peppers Pizza will offer a new take on an old classic.

Available for a limited time, the Classic Italian Sausage and Peppers Pizza is created with a Sicilian sauce and a crust topped with sesame seeds to deliver the experience of a fresh sub. Roasted peppers and onions combine with Sbarro's standard 100% whole milk mozzarella cheese on top of fresh dough, which is made in-house daily.

"We are mixing two Italian favorites into a classic we are sure our customers will love," said Dwayne Adams, Sbarro's VP of Culinary. "This hearty new recipe offers bold flavors that will keep the entire family satisfied."

The Classic Italian Sausage and Peppers Pizza will be available for purchase in participating eateries through January 4th.
