Lori Ligorio Opens Caring Transitions of Scranton to Help Families

New business brings senior relocation and estate clearing services to Lackawanna and Luzern Counties.

SCRANTON, PA (PRWEB) July 13, 2016 - When Lori (Talerico) Ligorio was faced with freshening up her resume or breaking out on her own after a long career in the financial industry, she decided it was time to trade in the corporate world for a life doing something she truly loved – helping others. Now she’s excited to be turning that passion into a business with her new company, Caring Transitions of Scranton.

Caring Transitions is America’s largest resource for managing senior relocations as well as downsizing and estate liquidations. In addition to organizing, packing, de-cluttering, moving and resettling, Caring Transitions can handle estate sales, liquidations, and preparing homes for market. Caring Transitions of Scranton serves Lackawanna and Luzern Counties.

“There’s no better fit for me than this business and I know it will make a difference in this community. The benefits of working with Caring Transitions all comes down to one thing – time. Our services are designed to relieve your stress and give you back time to spend with your loved ones,” Ligorio said.

Prior to launching Caring Transitions of Scranton, Ligorio had a 20 year career with Bank of America, primarily supporting the small business sector. She is Six Sigma Greenbelt certified and her roles included VP Site Leader of the Small Business Contact Center Operations in Scranton and Process Design Engineer. She served as the 2015-2016 treasurer for All Saints Academy in Scranton, where her son Donny goes to school.

“When my position at the bank was eliminated in November of 2014, I realized it was the perfect point in my career to figure out what I really wanted to do. It gave me a chance to pick my head up from the day to day and think about the future,” Ligorio said. “I knew I had to do something that I would love every single day and that really benefited people in a tangible way.”

As Ligorio was taking stock of her life and planning her next steps, she and a family friend helped a family member straighten out her health concerns and move into a safer living environment. That experience, combined with her desire to do something that made a positive impact on people’s lives, came into focus when she learned about Caring Transitions.

Whether your situation is planned or unexpected, Caring Transitions’ services are perfect for seniors moving in with family or into a safer living situation as well as busy families and people clearing out the home of a loved one who has passed. All of Caring Transitions’ services are customizable, so clients only pay for the services they need – whether that means managing the entire move and estate-clearing or just getting someone resettled into their new place.

“There are other businesses out there that do pieces of what we do, but Caring Transitions can manage a relocation or estate clearing from end to end. We are here to provide you with a full service solution – whether you have one pain point or 10. We’ll customize a plan to meet your needs and, with our estate sale services, working with Caring Transitions can potentially pay for itself,” Ligorio said.

Ligorio is a Certified Relocation and Transition Specialist, a designation bestowed by an independent organization that evaluates providers of senior relocation services, and she opened Caring Transitions of Scranton with the support of her husband Mike. Caring Transitions of Scranton is bonded and insured and all employees are background-checked.
