Huddle House Grows Roster with Limited-Time Incentive Program

Strengthens Already Robust Franchise System as Eight Current Franchise Partners Sign New Deals

January 23, 2017 // Franchising.com // ATLANTA – Huddle House, the nation’s most iconic neighborhood diner known for its Southern hospitality and big portions at fair prices, revealed today the success of its limited-time incentive program with the announcement of the signing of 10 new restaurants by eight existing franchise partners.

As a commitment to strengthening its already robust franchise system and as a demonstration of confidence that both the corporate team and franchise partners have in the brand, Huddle House announced the growth incentive program at its annual conference in July and awarded franchise opportunities with growth incentives of up to $70,000 to qualified existing franchise partners through the end of December. Over the course of those five months, eight of the brand’s current franchise partners took part in the program to grow their portfolio of restaurants, adding a total of 10 additional restaurants to Huddle House’s roster.

“One of the main goals of launching the incentive program was to give back and open an opportunity to our existing franchise partners as a gesture of thanks for their commitment to the Huddle House brand,” said Vice President of Franchise Development Christina Chambers. “The reaction we received from franchise partners after revealing the incentive program to them at our 2016 franchise convention was overwhelmingly positive. We’re proud to have so many of them take advantage of the offer and broaden their Huddle House portfolios.”

After adding Huddle House to his investment portfolio in 2016 with his first location in Valdosta, Georgia, experienced franchise partner Mike Lokhandwala chose to utilize the incentive program, further expanding his Huddle House portfolio by signing three additional locations in Florida.

“The servant leadership model within the executive team, from the CEO to the team operations and marketing development – it is phenomenal support,” said Lokhandwala. “In addition, the unit-level economics are impressive. The key thing, I think, is the supply chain being in-house, which is a big plus.”

Huddle House looks to build on the momentum it has achieved in recent years, including 24 months of same-store sales increases and an 88 percent growth in signed agreements from February 2014 – February 2016. New restaurants are currently under construction to open soon in Fort Worth, Texas; East Orange, New Jersey; Jackson, Tennessee; Willis, Texas; Lubbock, Texas; Owensboro, Kentucky; and Gainesville, Georgia; with an additional 35 locations in development.

Huddle House has plans in place to open an additional 100 restaurants over the next five years, expanding its warmth, friendly atmosphere and charm into key markets throughout the eastern U.S., and into attractive DMAs such as Dallas, Charlotte, Orlando, Pittsburgh, Nashville and Cincinnati.
