Pinch A Penny Pool Patio and Spa Announces Expansion with Fourth Store Opening in Greater Houston Area

Leading Swimming Pool Retail & Service Franchise Leverages Success in Texas to Target Additional Growth in Austin, Dallas-Fort Worth, and San Antonio

March 13, 2017 // Franchising.com // CLEARWATER, Fla. - Pinch A Penny Pool Patio and Spa, the world’s largest swimming pool retail, service, and repair franchise, announced today its continued expansion with the opening of its fourth Texas location in Cypress. The news comes on the heels of the brand’s aggressive expansion plans to grow in key markets such as Austin, Brownsville, College Station, Corpus Christie, Dallas-Forth Worth, El Paso and San Antonio. To date, Pinch A Penny has more than 230 locations across the Southeast.

“For over four decades, Pinch A Penny’s level of expertise and professionalism has fueled the company’s success throughout Florida, and we’ve been experiencing similar results in Texas and throughout the Southeast,” said John Thomas, CEO of Pinch A Penny Pool Patio and Spa. “Texas’s large population of pool owners combined with its ideal climate for poolside living makes Pinch A Penny a strong investment opportunity for entrepreneurs and provides strong potential for growth. We’re thrilled to open our fourth franchise location in Cypress and plan to continue expanding our brand presence across the state.”

Pinch A Penny opened its first Texas store in Magnolia in 2016, followed by two additional locations in Houston and Sugarland later that year. The company is now celebrating the opening of its first Cypress store located at 13050 Louetta Road, Suite 210. The new location is owned and operated locally by Maria and Miguel Escobar, who look forward to providing a true customer service experience unlike any other pool store in the Houston area.

“After 35 years of corporate life, I was finally ready to become my own boss,” said Miguel. “After visiting Pinch A Penny’s corporate offices, I was able to see that the organization has all the necessary processes in place for maintaining quality, training, production, delivery and support while still managing to instill a family-owned business approach.”

Pinch A Penny has developed a reputation for delivering best-in-class customer service and expertise while offering the highest quality in products and supplies. The brand currently has more than 230 retail stores across Florida, Alabama, Georgia, Texas and Louisiana. To fuel growth, Pinch A Penny is now seeking qualified candidates to become franchisees and expand its brand footprint in Texas and the Southeast. Interested candidates should have a minimum net worth of $125,000 and liquid assets of at least $50,000 per unit. Depending on the real estate site selected, franchisees can expect the total investment to be approximately $249,100 – $589,800 with an initial franchise fee of up to $50,000 depending on the business format. Pinch A Penny offers reduced franchise fees to veterans who received an honorable discharge.
