Slim Chickens Builds Momentum in Texas, Brings Better Chicken to Mansfield

Fast-Casual Franchise Brand Continues Growth in the Lone Star State with Fort Worth Area Development

FAYETTEVILLE, ARK. (PRWEB) June 06, 2017 - Slim Chickens, a leader in the “better chicken” segment of fast-casual restaurants, is bringing its fresh chicken and unrivaled flavor to Mansfield, Texas - the brand’s 21st location in the Lone Star State. The brand’s expansion is led by franchise veterans Flint Harris and Max Moore.

Texas’ new restaurant is located at 3600 E Broad Street in Mansfield, Texas and opened on June 5th. This is the fifth location Harris and Moore have opened in the state.

Prior to expanding the Slim Chickens brand, Harris, a Fort Worth native, received his master’s degree in sports management and a doctorate in adult education. His accolades led him to a position with the University of Arkansas’ Razorback Athletics. He later moved to Waco, Texas and joined Baylor University as the Director of Student Athletic Services, working with the football and tennis teams to ensure student athletes stayed on track to earn their degrees. In 2011, Harris moved back to Fayetteville, Ark. and purchased dessert franchise Bliss Cupcake Cafe, growing the brand from one to four stores. Harris invited his lifelong friend Max Moore, who has a business background in hotel and restaurant franchising, to join him in 2012. The business duo ended up dining at Slim Chickens frequently because of the restaurant’s proximity to their cupcake shops. After speaking to the owners, the two wanted to expand the young “better chicken” brand and signed a five-unit agreement.

Harris and Moore’s newest location is making a big splash for the restaurant’s grand opening by offering free Slim Chickens for a year to the first 50 customers who come to dine on June 5th.

“We were Slim Chickens customers before we were franchisees, and that is a testament to our confidence in the brand’s ability to shake up the restaurant scene in Fort Worth,” said Harris. “We want customers to experience the same, fresh chicken Max and I fell in love with, and we’re thrilled to continue this expansion journey with the brand.”

With its always fresh, made-to-order chicken tenders and wings, and wide variety of house made dipping sauces and dressings, Slim Chickens provides guests with the ability to customize a meal to satisfy any craving. Slim Chickens also offers grilled tenders, fresh salads, and chicken and waffles. To offset the savory side of the menu, rotating desserts served in Mason jars are also available.
