b.good Brings Charitable Brand and Locally-Sourced Food to Life at International Franchise Expo

Fast Casual Innovator Raises Funds for Local Non-Profit Edible Schoolyards NYC June 15-17

NEW YORK -June 08, 2017 - (BUSINESS WIRE) - b.good, a fast-casual restaurant concept serving fresh, locally sourced “food with roots,” will exhibit at the International Franchise Expo and utilize its food to make a positive impact in the local community. The expo takes place June 15 through June 17 at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City.

To give attendees a true feel for the brand, b.good will roll out a newly designed food truck and offer attendees a taste of the sustainably sourced, seasonal menu. Located at Booth #1005 to the immediate right of the entrance, b.good will serve its popular Spicy Avocado & Lime Bowl. Staying true to b.good’s “food with roots” mission, the kale for the bowl will be freshly procured from Hannah Farm, a farm b.good operates on an island in Boston Harbor. Last summer, b.good restored the farm to grow produce for their restaurants and donate 75 percent to those in need of healthy food.

b.good is dedicated to making a positive impact in the local communities in which they operate. To allow attendees to be a part of b.good’s social impact, samples of the Spicy Avocado & Lime Bowl will be served with a suggested donation of $1, all of which will be donated to Edible Schoolyards NYC, b.good’s local Community Partner that works with New York City public schools to educate underprivileged youth on healthy eating and community gardening.

“b.good’s mission is to improve lives through healthy food. We are excited to fully demonstrate all aspects of our brand at the IFE this year to give attendees a true feel for the b.good concept and mission,” said Jon Olinto, co-founder of b.good. “By serving our fresh food and raising money for our local New York City Community Partner, attendees will get to experience our concept first-hand without even visiting a store.”

b.good is a healthy fast-casual restaurant brand serving “food with roots” that is sustainably sourced and hand-prepared fresh in-house. b.good was founded in 2004 in Boston by best friends Jon Olinto and Anthony Ackil who were on a mission to make great, wholesome food the way their family made for them growing up. b.good was founded on the belief that food can be the roots that connect a community of people who grow, prepare and eat it.

b.good currently operates 54 restaurants in 11 states and expects to reach 70 locations by the end of 2017. The company hopes to open 100 locations by the end of 2018.

For those looking to invest in America’s demand for healthy fast food, the total initial investment to open a franchise ranges from $500,000 to $700,000. b.good is currently looking to expand nationwide and seeks single-unit franchisees in markets where restaurants are currently located and experienced, multi-unit franchisees to launch the brand into new territories.
