Gyroville Announces Grand Opening for Topeka Location

Popular Mediterranean Fast-Casual Franchise Will Debut its First Domestic Restaurant Outside Florida with $3 Gyros; Hosts Discovery Day Event for Any Interested Midwest Prospective Franchise Owners

August 16, 2017 // Franchising.com // BOCA RATON, Fla. - Gyroville, a build-your-own Mediterranean fast-casual franchise, will hold a grand opening for its Topeka, Kansas, restaurant located at 2855 Wanamaker Road on Aug. 31. The celebration of the first domestic Gyroville to open outside of Florida, its home state, will include $3 gyros between 12 - 3 p.m., complimentary menu samples and tours of the first fast casual authentic Greek restaurant in Topeka.

The company will also host a Discovery Day event Aug. 30 for anyone interested in opening their own Gyroville. During the Discovery Day, prospective franchise owners will have the opportunity to meet one on one with Gyroville founder and CEO Lambros Kokkinelis as well as Topeka location co-owner Nataliya Miller. Attendees will also be able to tour the new location, try menu items, ask questions and learn all the ins and outs of the Gyroville franchise opportunity.

“We are thrilled to bring authentic Greek food to Topeka in a fast casual restaurant,” Miller said. “As more people seek healthier eating options, the demand for Mediterranean food has never been higher. It’s especially exciting to meet that demand with a Gyroville and a brand new market for the brand.”

The restaurant, which will employ 10 people, is one of Gyroville’s larger locations with a 1,700 square foot space. It introduces the brand’s updated design, which features a cleaner, crisp look and feel that is synonymous with its updated logo and color scheme. Neutrally based with accents of green, the new restaurant also includes updated light fixtures and furniture to reflect the new branding.

Gyroville prepares fresh ingredients in recipes that combine old-school, Greek traditions with a modern day twist. Customers follow their choice of protein from the grill or vertical spit through an assembly line process, where they choose from fresh toppings and homemade sauces. Gyroville jumped into the fast-casual scene in 2010 and currently has eight locations operating in Florida as well as a new restaurant that opened this past April in Quito, Ecuador.

“Our ‘live fresh’ mentality will be well-received in Topeka,” said Kokkinelis. “I’m looking forward to meeting local residents, seeing their satisfaction for Gyroville fare first-hand and talking about healthy eating with them.”

Gyroville seeks master franchise developers to continue developing the brand in the United States. The fast-growing franchise also seeks multi-unit operators and owner-operators to bring the brand to new markets, initially targeting the Southeastern part of the country. The company expects to open another location in 2017, along with adding 10 more signed franchise agreements to continue steady growth throughout the United States.

Space is limited for the Discovery Day event on August 31. Contact Scott Mortier at (773) 255-4095 or scott@gyroville.com to reserve a spot.
