Scooter's Coffee Adds First Drive-Thru Location to Mitchell, SD

New Store to Celebrate Grand Opening on February 23rd with $1 Off Drinks

February 07, 2018 // Franchising.com // Mitchell, SD, 2018 - Scooter's Coffee, the Midwest-based coffee franchise that has experienced tremendous growth over the past year, added its twelfth location in South Dakota with the company's latest opening at 321 E. Havens St. in Mitchell, South Dakota. To celebrate, the location will be hosting a Grand Opening on Friday, February 23, where all drinks will be $1 off (excluding Red Bull drinks).

"We are thrilled to continue expanding in our neighboring state of South Dakota," stated Mike Rogers, Chief Operating Officer of Scooter's Coffee. "We have already made a name for ourselves in the Sioux Falls community, so it is exciting to see the residents of Mitchell welcoming our brand to the market."

On Grand Opening Day, customers can also expect to receive several fun giveaways:

  • 10 a.m. - First 100 customers will receive a free $5 gift card with purchase
  • 1 p.m. - First 50 customers will receive a free Scooter's mug with purchase
  • 4 p.m. - First 50 customers will receive a free Scooter's t-shirt with purchase

The new location is owned by Mike and Cindy Reynoldson and operated by their daughter, Brooke Wenzl. "We have already seen that the customers are very excited to try our new drink and food items," stated Wenzl. "Since we've been open, we've had a mix of customers who have been to a Scooter's in surrounding towns and some first-timers. It's exciting to become part of the community and have the support of Scooter's Coffee to deliver our philosophy - Amazing Drinks, Amazing People…Amazingly Fast!"

Following the Grand Opening, on February 24 - March 18, the location will have a half off any drink discount available on the Scooter's Coffee mobile app. The app allows customers to quickly pay for purchases by scanning a barcode linked to a registered Scooter's Coffee gift card.

The app also includes a loyalty program and other features. Acting as a digital punch card, customers earn smiley faces when they use the app for purchases, then can redeem their smiley faces for a free drink after collecting 12. In addition, the app will enable customers to access special offers, view the nearest locations, browse the full Scooter's Coffee menu and track purchases.

Scooter's Coffee is quickly approaching 200 locations in 16 states and has 135 franchisee commitments to build new stores. The company is in the midst of a robust grand opening pipeline. It recently opened additional locations in San Antonio, Texas and Sacramento, California. Other expanding markets include Nevada, Arkansas, Colorado and Texas.
