Main Squeeze Juice Co. Opening in Metairie

Local brand to make healthy easier with juices, smoothies and more.

August 27, 2018 // Franchising.com // NEW ORLEANS, La. – Main Squeeze Juice Co., a newcomer to the more than $5 billion juice market, is opening their first Metairie location at the end of next week.

Located at 2561 Metairie Road, the September 7th opening comes on the heels of Main Squeeze’s headquarters move to New Orleans earlier this year. The location is operated by father and son duo Richard and Zack Cheaney, who will be opening up an additional Louisiana location later this year.

“We are thrilled to bring a healthy and delicious option to the Metairie area. It truly is the perfect concept for the Old Metairie community, which was lacking a healthy, fun and delicious juice bar,” said Zach Cheaney. “Both my father and I love the products and know that the rest of the community will as well.”

Prior to franchising with Main Squeeze Juice Co., Zack Cheaney worked for AT&T in Florida on a team with Thomas Nieto, now-CEO of Main Squeeze. Both left the company and Cheaney assumed a role with Sam Adams before rejoining Nieto at In & Out Smart Repair. Nieto left to join Main Squeeze and shortly after Cheaney decided to try the product and fell in love. Desiring a chance to open his own business, Cheaney connected with his father Richard, a petroleum engineer for 30 years who retired in spring 2017, and the pair decided to purchase their own Main Squeeze location.

Main Squeeze’s mission is to make healthy easier, and the company’s nutritionist-designed, superfood-centric menu does exactly that by offering a daily source of plant-based nutrition packed with natural and quick energy. The concept’s proprietary recipes feature chef-inspired cold-pressed juices and superfood smoothies, along with one-, two- and three-day juice cleanse programs, wellness shots, and acai bowls created from organic and wild-harvested acai berries from the Amazon rainforest in Northeast Brazil.

“Health begins and ends with how you choose to fuel your body and your lifestyle,” said Nieto. “We strongly believe in reviving the idea of 'food as medicine' through our menu – combining the timeless simplicity of fruits and vegetables in a nourishing and refreshing way.”

In addition to the Metairie location, Main Squeeze Juice Co. has two locations open and operating in Lake Charles, Louisiana and Katy, Texas, with plans to open five stores in 2018. According to Nieto, the brand currently has over a dozen additional franchisee- and corporate-owned locations under development, including the company’s flagship store, co-owned by Marques and Emily Colston, in New Orleans.
