Rush Bowls Brings Healthy Eating to Raleigh
August 29, 2018 // Franchising.com // BOULDER, Colo. - Rush Bowls - a fast-casual restaurant chain known for its meals-in-a-bowl crafted from the finest fruits and vegetables, topped with granola and honey, and blended with protein, vitamins and other nutritious ingredients - is coming to Raleigh.
Located near the North Carolina State University Campus at 2811 Hillsborough St., the store is slated to open in January of 2019. It will be the first of at least three Rush Bowls locations to be owned and operated by husband and wife team Jason and Anna Mack Severn.
“We are thrilled to bring Rush Bowls to both the NC State campus and the Raleigh community,” said Jason. “As a family that really values a healthy lifestyle, we knew we had to introduce a healthy, delicious option for students and families, and Rush Bowls is just that.”
Jason and Anna Mack are no strangers to running a successful business. After starting a children’s accessory shop in their basement, the couple grew their business to two brick and mortar locations and an Etsy shop that they ran for over five years.
Now, they’re ready for their next adventure. After selling their business in 2015, Jason and Anna Mack wanted to learn about a different industry and find a concept that they could grow. With their passion for a healthy lifestyle and the lack of options in their area, Rush Bowls was the perfect fit.
“As a Raleigh native, I’m so happy we have the opportunity to bring such an incredible concept to my hometown,” said Anna Mack. “I know the community will love it just as much as our family does.”
Founded in 2004, Rush Bowls offers meals crafted from all-natural fruit, topped with organic granola and honey, and blended with protein, vitamins and other nutritious ingredients that taste delicious while promoting a healthy lifestyle. Customers can choose from over 40 signature bowls or all-natural smoothies made with fruit and vegetable bases, including acai, kale and avocado.
“Our number one priority is 100 percent all-natural nutrition, which makes Rush Bowls different
from other grab-and-go concepts,” Founder Andrew Pudalov noted. “Rush Bowls’ meals are crafted from the finest fruits and vegetables, with fresh toppings like organic granola, hand-grinded peanut butter and jam made in-house to ensure the highest quality and taste for our customers across multiple day parts.”
Over the past 14 years, Rush Bowls has cultivated a loyal following with its menu specializing in healthy, all-natural, fruit-blended meals-in-a-bowl for those on the go. Bowls are also available in vegan, gluten-free, soy-free and dairy free options, and anything can be custom made to cater to any and all dietary needs.
The brand has over 70 Rush Bowls restaurants currently in various stages of development across 14 states with a variety of deals in the pipeline in major markets throughout the United States. Company plans call for having over 20 locations open by the end of 2018.
