Zaxby's 'Insane Music Tour' With Jordan Rager Makes Final Stops In Athens

Zaxby's hosts free live concerts at Hull Road and Atlanta Highway restaurants

October 17, 2019 // // ATHENS, Ga. - Zaxby’s, the fan favorite for chicken fingers, wings and salads, brings its “Insane Music Tour” featuring country artist Jordan Rager to its hometown. The free 30-minute concerts will take place inside Zaxby’s restaurants. Guests are invited to meet Rager and enjoy live music while dining on Zaxby’s signature chicken at these Athens locations: 820 Hull Road at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 17 and 3704 Atlanta Highway at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 18.

“We want our customers to be able to relate to Zaxby’s beyond our chicken,” said Chief Marketing Officer Joel Bulger. “Georgia-born Jordan Rager really understands our brand, and by offering these in-restaurant concerts, we’re hoping to provide a unique experience to area residents and connect with the student community.”

An alternative to fast food, Zaxby’s serves fresh, prepared-at-order, hand-breaded Chicken Fingerz and Wings made in a variety of nine sauces. The menu also features four Zalads and eight sandwiches along with innovative Zappetizers including Tater Chips and Spicy Fried Mushrooms, and Party Platterz for large groups and tailgates. Zaxby’s is offering its limited-time Zensation Zalad and new Zensation Fillet Sandwich until Oct. 20. Both Zensation items pair perfectly with Zaxby’s Minute Maid Southern Peach Fizzle, also available in Lite.

Rager was born and raised in Loganville. He grew up singing in church where he developed a lifelong passion for music. At age 15, Rager taught himself to play guitar and performed at a variety of restaurants, clubs and parties before his debut single “Southern Boy.” He is currently signed with Riser House Records and released his hit singles “Colorblind” and “Small Town Talkin” earlier this year.

“Anybody who knows me knows how much I love Zaxby’s Wings, Nibblers and Big Zax Snak," Rager said. "I couldn't be more excited to partner with Zaxby's for these concerts. I'm looking forward to getting to go some places I haven't been in a while, meeting fans and playing my new music for everyone.”

Jordan Rager is the first performer in Zaxby’s new entertainment series, showcasing various artists each year.
