Leading Swim School Franchise Community Comes Together, Celebrates 10 Years in Franchising and Beyond

October 28, 2019 // Franchising.com // TROY, MI - Goldfish Swim School Franchising, LLC, the premier learn-to-swim franchise concept, recently held its highly anticipated annual conference - We Are Goldfish - celebrating 10 years in franchising and a continued focus on authenticity and commitment to the growing number of communities it serves. More than 375 members of the franchise system flooded the TCF Center in Detroit to celebrate major accomplishments, debut new innovations, and together set milestones for the year ahead.

The two-day conference contained an action-packed agenda featuring executive keynote presentations, workshops, and roundtable discussions aimed at sharing best practices and helping franchisees prepare for an exciting year ahead. As Goldfish Swim School gears up for a record-breaking 2020 - opening its 100-location milestone school - the brand has made significant investments in technology, marketing and franchise programs. Examples include enhanced software with the support of a new POS and technology platform, advancements in research and development to inform a new creative advertising campaign, updates to its world-class curriculum and key internal hires to best support the growth of its franchise network.

Committed to assuring a Golden Experience & Extraordinary Results across the board, the brand continues to build on its incredible infrastructure for growth with increased support and services to members and franchisees. Attendees left with valuable insight into new and improved tools and resources to help them drive greater sales, profitability and Wow! Customer Service across the communities they operate.

The Goldfish Franchise Support Team recognized and honored franchisees for their outstanding performance and history with the brand. With five core values solidifying the foundation of Goldfish Swim School, awards were presented to schools that best represented and encompassed each core value. Awards were also given to “School of the Year” (Wyckoff, NJ), “Rookie of the Year” (Redmond, WA) and milestone schools that have been open for five and 10 years.

At last year’s conference, Goldfish Swim School announced its official partnership with the USA Swimming Foundation, committing to raise $1 million for the organization by 2024. Since then, the brand has donated more than $200,000 through its award-winning ‘Float It Forward’ fundraising campaign. During the two-day conference alone, nearly $20,000 was raised by Free Press marathon runners, silent auctions and t-shirt sales. The entire franchise network is fully dedicated to spreading awareness on the importance of water safety through this commitment, as well as through the support of Brand Ambassador Ryan Murphy, the recent launch of Goldfish RX - a program that provides resources to local pediatricians to support the updated American Academy of Pediatrics guidelines on drowning prevention, and by providing free W.A.T.E.R Safety presentations to communities nationwide.

Goldfish Swim School provides swim lessons and water safety instruction to infants and children ages four months to 12 years, teaching more than 138,000 children each week how to be safer in and around the water. Each school offers swim lessons and programs using a proprietary philosophy, The Science of SwimPlay®, to build life skills both in and out of the water using play-based learning in a fun and safe environment. Each school’s number one focus and main priority is always the same - educating children on water safety while teaching them how to swim and respect the water.
