Office Evolution Signs Lease For Third Houston-Area Location

Energy Corridor property nearly 60 percent bigger than OE average

November 15, 2019 // Franchising.com // Louisville, Colo. - Office Evolution, the nation’s largest coworking franchisor, has just executed a lease for the third Houston-area location, and the first of two prospective properties in the most recent development deal.

This coworking business will be owned and operated by two husband-and-wife teams, Johnny and Faith Goff, and Carey and Kerri Rigsby, who signed a development deal for two locations. Their first Office Evolution will be the third in the Houston metro area, joining coworking spaces in The Woodlands and Piney Point, who have different owners. Located in the Energy Corridor of Houston at 15115 Park Row Blvd., the couples’ 12,113 square foot location is seconds from the Katy Freeway and within driving distance several dining options.

The Goff’s and Rigsby’s locations will service small business owners and clients in Houston, Katy, Cypress, and other suburbs of Houston. Office Evolution also just signed two separate development deals totaling five locations in Austin with two different franchisees, as it continues to expand its Texas footprint.

“Office Evolution fits a very unique niche in the marketplace, which as prospective business owners, got us excited about the demand for Office Evolution’s services,” said Faith Goff. After meeting the Office Evolution team, we knew immediately that it was a business concept we wanted to be involved in. The team was professional, communicative and very helpful in explaining the business model and services of Office Evolution.”

Faith has spent 15 years in the healthcare industry as a department administrator where she oversaw and managed logistics of research and education at surgery clinics. Johnny, a graduate of West Point and former Captain in the United States Army was in power plant and residential construction for 15 years before starting his own garage organization franchise, a business he still manages. The couple feels strongly about Office Evolution’s brand and the pivotal role it plays in providing professional capabilities to small businesses.

“We have been thinking about business ownership for a while now but didn’t want to start from scratch. After going to the Office Evolution Discovery Day and learning about their franchisee support and their systems in place for success, we knew this was the right decision” said Kerri Rigsby. “Our collective backgrounds combined with Office Evolution’s business model and their dedication to helping small businesses reach the next level, will help us make Office Evolution a success in the greater Houston area.”

Carey works as a construction safety specialist. He also is a director at a nonprofit organization he founded for youth sports that is focused on basketball. The organization’s goal is to mentor boys and girls to have a positive impact both on and off the court. Kerri has 16 years of experience in the energy sector. She is currently a senior business analyst, where she focuses on metrics and trends within the oil and gas industry.

“At Office Evolution, we don’t have franchisees, we have an ‘Ohana,’ and we are proud to add Faith, Johnny, Kerri and Carey to our ‘Ohana,’” Office Evolution Founder and CEO Mark Hemmeter said. “Houston is full of small businesses looking to take their operations to the next step and the Goffs and Rigsbys will greatly help their local business community flourish and grow.”

Office Evolution, with 64 locations open and nearly 80 in various stages of development, is the largest coworking franchise and the fourth largest network in the U.S. The model is based on local owners who are committed to serving their community, backed by the resources and distribution of a national brand and network is unique to the category. With more than 24 million non-employer businesses in the U.S. and more than 3.5 million U.S. businesses with four employees or less, demand for shared office space is high.

“As a native Houstonian it is exciting for me to watch the Office Evolution brand grow in my hometown and across the great state of Texas,” Office Evolution COO and Global Workspace Association Board Member William Edmundson said. “We can’t wait to see how the Goffs and Rigsbys will use Office Evolution to help the small business community in the Houston area.”

With dedicated work spaces, including private offices, conference rooms and shared workspace, Office Evolution has solutions for every business. There are also phone-answering services, address & mail services and other professional capabilities to make each small-business owner exceed their goals.
