Former Multi-Unit Franchisee-Turned-CEO Drives Expansion at Fast-Growing HIIT Functional Fitness Concept Allied with International Tough Mudder Brand

January 30, 2020 // Franchising.com // NEW YORK - Tough Mudder Bootcamp, the HIIT and functional fitness workout concept aligned with international event series Tough Mudder, has announced the appointment of a new CEO to drive the franchise brand’s high-powered strategic expansion plans forward in 2020.

Britt Canady, a former multi-unit franchisee in the Charlotte territory and Vice President of Strategy for Tough Mudder Bootcamp, is now serving Tough Mudder Bootcamp as CEO to steer growth for existing and prospective franchisees, including the Area Representative program and expanded franchise growth in priority markets.

“When I first met with the Tough Mudder Bootcamp franchise development team as a prospective franchisee, I immediately knew that this was a concept that I wanted to completely immerse myself in,” said Canady. “The opportunity for me to take the helm and help drive a franchise I truly believe in is once in a lifetime. I’m proud to lead a franchise team that has the tools to further support our franchisees and most importantly, bring Tough Mudder Bootcamp’s workout to more communities than ever before.”

Prior to joining Tough Mudder Bootcamp, Canady worked as an attorney and banker with a lifelong love for sustainable personal fitness. A key component of the development strategy, Canady plans to focus on as CEO includes the newly launched Area Representative program. A separate investment from the existing franchise opportunity, the Area Representative program is a high-profile venture designed to give strategic partners and high level investors a unique chance to invest in a revenue-sharing model with Tough Mudder Bootcamp by developing their own exclusive territory within the franchise.

“We’re in a position as an organization with more resources than ever before to help our franchisees grow as well as to deliver our transformative workout to more customers across the United States through our franchise expansion strategy,” added Canady. “A core component of that strategy is our new Area Rep program, which gives high-level investors the chance to take an active role in developing a globally recognized brand as Area Reps in their territory.”
