Gyroville's Newest Franchisee Looking for Location in South Florida

Experienced restauranteur signs on with the Mediterranean-inspired, build-your-own concept in Florida

February 26, 2020 // Franchising.com // Fort Lauderdale, FL. - Gyroville has recently signed its newest franchisee, Akhil Bhandare, who plans to open his first location in Sunrise, Florida. Mr. Bhandare brings many years of experience in owning and operating multiple locations of the Edible Arrangements franchise. His plans are to open his initial location in the Sunrise area and then continue to help grow the brand throughout South Florida.

Gyroville, a popular Southeast Florida build-your-own Mediterranean fast-casual franchise has recently celebrated its Ten-Year anniversary as a brand. With its first location opened in January 2010, Gyroville is looking ahead towards another successful decade. “Mr. Bhandare is well aware of the history of Gyroville, and our established footprint in South Florida helped make his decision to join us that much easier,” said Lambros Kokkinelis, founder and CEO of Gyroville.

“After years of being a loyal customer, I chose Gyroville because I understand that dining trends have been focusing more heavily on healthier options,” said Mr. Bhandare, franchisee for the Sunrise, Florida location. He continues by saying “the build a bowl and pita concepts that enable guests to customize their meals are what more and more people want today especially since everything is made fresh to order.”

“We are pleased that Akhil has decided to join our brand as we prepare to take our growth to the national level,” said Lambros Kokkinelis. “With his vast experience in the hospitality industry, Akhil will make an excellent and experienced franchisee.”

Gyroville seeks multi-unit operators and owner-operators to bring the brand to new markets, targeting the Southeastern part of the country, as well as the Midwest and Texas. The company expects to open another 3-4 locations in 2020, along with adding five more signed franchise agreements during the next twelve months to continue steady growth throughout the United States.

“This newest location in South Florida enables us to continue to expand with our new look that offers our guests a fresh, comfortable environment in which they can build their own bowl, pita or salad. In the last ten years, we have worked really hard to establish our brand and the Sunrise location will help set the bar for the next ten years,” said Lambros Kokkinelis.

About Gyroville

Founded in 2010 and franchising since 2016, Gyroville was created from the need to fulfill the lack of Mediterranean cuisine in the fast casual market. The Greek-inspired concept allows customers to select from their choice of protein off the grill or carved from a vertical spit and an array of fresh vegetables and homemade sauces served in a pita, over rice or as a salad. Today, there are 10 locations open and operating in the Unites States.
