Scooter’s Coffee Builds Missouri Presence

National Franchise Signs Agreement for Three Units in Kansas City

February 28, 2020 // Franchising.com // OMAHA, Neb. - Scooter’s Coffee, LLC, the Midwest-based drive-thru coffee franchise that is on track for another record-breaking year of growth, is increasing its presence in Missouri to bring its world-class drive-thru coffee locations to Kansas City.

Scooter’s Coffee, based in Omaha, Nebraska, specializes in artisan espresso drinks, fruit smoothies, baked-from-scratch pastries and features its signature drink, the Caramelicious®. The company added depth to its profile last year with a new line of organic hot and iced teas, single-origin coffee and Cold Brew & Cream.

Americans love their coffee. The percentage of people in the U.S. who drink coffee daily is up to 64 percent in 2018, the highest since 2012. The use of drive-thru’s for coffee has slightly increased over the past five years. In 2019, 46 percent of people said they had purchased coffee using a drive-thru the day before. Scooter’s Coffee, with the Brand Promise of “Amazing People, Amazing Drinks… Amazingly Fast!®” is helping Americans meet that demand.

Scooter’s Coffee is extremely excited about this expansion into a bustling community. John Kozel signed a multi-unit agreement with Scooter’s Coffee in the Kansas City area.

“Being from Omaha, I have seen the Scooter’s Coffee brand get off the ground,” said John Kozel. “Through this process, I have been able to witness firsthand the company positioning itself for future growth, and I look forward to bringing a premium coffee option to the fast growing Northland area.”

In line with its successful and robust grand opening strategy, Scooter’s Coffee recently opened five locations throughout Kansas and Missouri, opened the second location in the state of Arkansas, and is opening additional locations in markets such as Dallas, Texas, and Denver, Colorado. The company is quickly surpassing 250 locations in 14 states and has over 200 franchise commitments to build new stores.

“We are excited to continue our expansion in the state of Missouri,” said Tim Arpin, Scooter’s Coffee Vice President of Franchise Sales. “The Kansas City market is vibrant and growing, and we want to fill a need for quality coffee served through a drive-thru window. We look forward to bringing our world-class coffee, amazingly fast service and friendly baristas to this area.”
