GYMGUYZ Signs 17 New Deals and Opens 5 New Locations in First Half of 2020
Even amid a global pandemic, the personal training brand has continued to revolutionize the fitness space and bring groundbreaking results to new territories across the country
PLAINVIEW, N.Y. (PRWEB) July 21, 2020 - GYMGUYZ, the in-home personal training franchise with more than 250 points of presence in the U.S. and Canada, is keeping the momentum up. The mobile fitness concept uses its signature vans to bring state-of-the-art equipment and expert coaches right to a customer’s front door. Now, in the midst of COVID-19, GYMGUYZ is working hard to continue to help customers meet their fitness goals and expand to new territories across the country.
“GYMGUYZ was founded at the height of the 2008 economic crisis with a goal to create the fitness industry's solution for an 'Amazon-style' concept centered around convenience by bringing the gym to the consumer,” said GYMGUYZ CEO and founder, Josh York. “Now, amid this pandemic, the brand has once again seen amazing growth despite facing the challenges of an unstable economy.”
In the first half of 2020, GYMGUYZ has signed a total of 17 new franchise deals, five of which are already open with COVID-19 restrictions. The mobile fitness franchise entered six new markets, including Greensboro, North Carolina; Charlotte, North Carolina; San Antonio, Texas; Chicago, Illinois; Dallas, Texas and Naples, Florida.
In addition to expanding its international footprint, GYMGUYZ has confronted the consequences presented to the fitness industry by COVID-19 with a creative and strategic approach focused on supporting its franchise owners with what they need to remain successful. As the country grappled with the coronavirus outbreak and businesses across industries slowed and even halted operations, GYMGUYZ offered enhanced services to help new and existing customers cope with the crisis in a productive and healthy way. GYMGUYZ is accommodating by offering services such as remote personal training, virtual fitness classes, loaner equipment options and more. GYMGUYZ is also offering a workout migration program for new clients who are unable to go to their former gyms due to COVID-related closures and want to switch over to the in-home personal training brand.
“No one is unaffected by the coronavirus, which is why GYMGUYZ is eager to continue giving back to the communities we serve and help current and new clients stay fit during this difficult time,” York said. “GYMGUYZ remains committed to our mission of helping clients meet their fitness goals in a time when health and well-being are more important than ever. Now, we expect to see growth continue post COVID-19 with the virtual strategies we’ve implemented to keep the business thriving. We’ve been able to go back to our roots and be the scrappy, proactive company that does what it takes to get through hard times. We quickly shifted our core business model to provide support to our franchise owners, and we feel confident that we’ll be stronger as a brand and as a franchise system on the other side of this.”
This year also saw the brand receiving major industry recognition with their recent ranking in Entrepreneur magazine’s Fastest-Growing Franchises list for 2020. This highly competitive list recognizes the 150 companies with the greatest franchise unit growth in North America, based on data submitted for Entrepreneur’s Franchise 500® ranking. Thanks to its exceptional growth, GYMGUYZ also placed in the second-place spot in Franchise Gator’s annual list of the Top 100 Fastest-Growing Franchises and #83 on the Top 100 Franchise list.
“We are proud of our continued growth and success so far in 2020 and owe it to our owners, personal trainers and everyone involved for getting us to where we are today,” said York. “If you surround yourself with the right people and create a culture that people are energized to be a part of, success and growth will follow. Moving forward, exercise is one of the best ways to boost your immune system and cope with stress, which means we’re not going anywhere.”
GYMGUYZ is # 1 in home personal training and provides convenient, customized and creative workouts wherever you are. In 2019, the brand was recognized as No. 5 on Inc. Mag's 10 Hottest Franchise Businesses in America, which highlighted their growth of more than 801% over the last three years. GYMGUYZ also scored the second-place spot on Franchise Gator’s annual list of the Top 100 Fastest-Growing Franchises, and received recognition as a top franchise in Entrepreneur's Highly Competitive 41st Annual Franchise 500. Now with over 250 locations internationally, including the United States, United Kingdom and Canada, GYMGUYZ is the fastest-growing fitness concept in the U.S. with plans to open another 100+ locations globally in the coming year.
