Edible® Celebrates Return to Morristown, New Jersey, with Grand Opening Event

Grand opening will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony with Morristown Mayor Timothy Dougherty, arrangement giveaways and free product samples

January 05, 2021 // Franchising.com // MORRISTOWN, NJ - Edible®, the world’s largest franchisor of fresh fruit arrangements and other treats, is celebrating the brand’s return to Morristown, New Jersey, with a grand opening event on Sunday, Jan. 10, 2021, at the recently reopened Edible store located at 4 Wilmot St., Unit 4A.

Edible Morristown is now under new, family-run ownership by business partners Lina Abuhamda Issa and Gus Adawi. Helping manage the business are Assef Jamhour and Issa’s husband Fadel Eisa.

Issa started working for Edible Arrangements at the age of 17 in New York. After working there for nine years, she took time off for five years after moving to New Jersey. For the past year, she and Adawi have invested their time and resources into purchasing and remodeling the Edible store on Wilmot Street and enjoyed a successful soft opening last November.

“I fell in love with the Edible brand when I worked as a store employee, so opening my own Edible franchise has been a dream of mine for some time,” said Issa. “Edible’s portfolio of products has evolved so much since my time as a store employee, with new innovations like Bakeshop and FruitFlowers making the brand more attractive to customers than ever before. Our goal for this store is to exceed all of our local customers’ expectations with delicious products available in-store and delivered fresh to their homes, and we’re so excited to celebrate this exciting new chapter along with the rest of the Morristown community at this weekend’s grand opening celebration.”

The store will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, with a ceremonial ribbon-cutting taking place at noon with Morristown Mayor Timothy Dougherty. Throughout the day, attendees can expect live music, arrangement giveaways, free samples and more. Proper safety protocols will be in place due to COVID-19, with the Edible Morristown team providing masks and hand sanitizer along with conducting temperature checks.
