Glory Days Grill® Golf Tournament Raises Nearly $30,000 For Regional Charities

Proceeds benefit the Sunshine Foundation for Chronically Ill Children and other local charitable organizations.

January 08, 2021 // Franchising.com // Glory Days Grill hosted its 33rd annual golf tournament at the Westfield’s Golf Club in Clifton, Virginia on Tuesday, October 20, 2020. Despite the challenges during a global pandemic, the annual tournament raised $29,754 of which $17,500 has been designated for the tournament's main beneficiary, The Sunshine Foundation. Glory Days Grill will make additional contributions totaling $12,254 to a variety of local charities and foundations serving the Washington-Baltimore corridor.  Past recipients include local organizations such as: Jill’s House; Lorton Community Action Center; Life with Cancer; Little Flower Community; CASA – Baltimore County; and The Fisher House.

Over the past seventeen years, Glory Days Grill has raised more than $744,500 through their annual golf tournament allowing the company to financially support the missions of many local and regional charities. The COVID-19 pandemic presented a number of challenges for the golf tournament, including travel restrictions, social distancing, mask and glove wearing and other safety precautions needed to keep volunteers and golfers safe, but it was important to the company to continue to support regional charities despite the complications presented in 2020. The Sunshine Foundation, which benefits chronically ill children and their families, could use these funds now more than ever, and the Glory Days Grill team was determined to do their part to support these children in need.
