Scooter’s Coffee Earns Recognition on ‘Fast and Serious’ Rankings

Midwest-based drive-thru coffee franchise once again honored in Franchise Times

February 09, 2021 // Franchising.com // NEBRASKA - Scooter’s Coffee earned its latest recognition among the “smartest growing” franchises. In yet another honor to begin 2021, the Nebraska-based drive-thru coffee franchise was included on Franchise Times’ “Fast and Serious” list.

Scooter’s Coffee was ranked No. 29 in the newly released rankings thanks to its rapid and sustainable growth in several factors. Much of that growth has been driven by current Scooter’s Coffee franchisees.

“We’re seeing a lot of demand from prospective franchisees and current franchisees,” said Scooter’s Coffee VP of Franchise Sales, Tim Arpin. “Because our current franchisees are doing well and growing and becoming more profitable, they want to expand their portfolios.”

Scooter’s Coffee business model of a 550-square-foot drive-thru kiosk proved a pivotal factor in success through the pandemic, adding proof of sustainability on top of that demand. When the restaurant industry shifted entirely to delivery, take out and drive-thru due to COVID-19, Scooter’s Coffee franchisees already had the processes in place to remain open and successful.

“When franchisees are doing well,” Arpin continued, “prospects see that, and they speak with our current franchisees, so the validation is strong.”

That validation was further strengthened by the “Fast and Serious” placement. The list was created by Franchise Times to “identify fast-growing franchise systems that also have staying power, as an antidote to multiple other rankings that include too many one-year wonders.” The rankings are determined based on numerous factors, including percentage sales and unit growth, dollar sales growth and numerical unit growth over the past three years.
