VetCor® Training Academy Officially Launches, Following IICRC Approval

February 16, 2021 // Franchising.com // VetCor®, a franchisor that offers water and mold damage remediation services, is proud to announce the launch of their VetCor® Training Academy. VetCor’s Chief Operating Officer Scott C. Walden, now an IICRC-certified instructor, will oversee all aspects of the training academy - which hopes to attract, train, certify and prepare the next generation of VetCor’s military franchisees who are ready to transition back to civilian life as business owners.

Thanks to the hard work and dedication from Walden, Team VetCor® officially completed the rigorous process of gaining accreditation as an approved school by the Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC). As an accredited school, Team VetCor® now has the ability to conduct specific IICRC-approved courses and proctor examinations for certification. This new capability now allows VetCor® to incorporate the certification as a Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT) into the Phase II technical training for its franchises, which means VetCor® franchisees can hit the ground running with certified technicians. Regularly scheduled WRT courses will also provide existing franchisees with the ability to get new technicians trained and certified in accordance with Team VetCor® and IICRC standards.

“Obtaining IICRC certification for the VetCor® Training Academy has been a priority for us and we can now say ‘Mission Accomplished’,” said Walden. “As an IICRC-approved program, we now have benefits that will greatly enhance the recruitment of certified technicians, as well as speeding up the process for getting VetCor® franchisees up and running as quickly as possible.”

VetCor® Franchising is a franchise opportunity, uniquely positioned to attract military veterans who are transitioning from the service back into civilian life. Owned and staffed by U.S. military servicemembers, it’s a business run by veterans, for veterans.

Operationally, VetCor® is designed to be a mobile business, capable of handling both residential and commercial customers. Services provided include water damage mitigation, mold remediation, fire/smoke remediation, roof tarping, tree or debris removal and bio/trauma crime scene cleanup. VetCor’s leadership team provides all of the IICRC-certified training, guidance and ongoing support you’ll need to operate your franchise location.

The IICRC is the Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification, a non-profit organization for the Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Industries. Since its founding in 1972, the IICRC has evolved into a global organization with more than 60,000 active Certified Technicians and more than 6,000 Certified Firms around the world.
