Eggs Up Grill Experiencing Rapid Growth in 2021; Locations Boast Fresh New Interior Design

March 24, 2021 // Franchising.com // SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Eggs Up Grill projects another record year with rapid growth underway. The breakfast, brunch, and lunch concept will open 12-15 of its newly designed restaurants across the Southeast, reaching nearly 60 locations by the end of 2021. All of the new restaurants feature the Brand’s refined and refreshed restaurant design, ensuring these locations become a welcoming, community mainstay in each neighborhood.

With that growth in mind, and as part of its mission to be a best-in-class franchisor, the Brand is continuing its three-year partnership with Walt Carucci of AE Consulting Services. Carucci works hand in hand with franchisees to ensure support as they work through the restaurant design and contractor selection process. That relationship starts after the signing of the Franchise Agreement, and through the grand opening, helping franchise partners navigate the needs of landlords, architects, equipment and design vendors, and much more. Carucci says the new design of these restaurants brings to life the Brand’s motto of being a happy place for its guests and team members.

“We used the opening of the company’s flagship restaurant, innovation lab, and training center in 2019 in Spartanburg, S.C., as the opportunity to introduce a refreshed design that impactfully communicates the spirit of the Brand,” said Walt. “We were able to implement those changes at our Spartanburg location, which has prepared us for the robust growth the Brand has experienced year after year.”

The restaurant, known for its great-tasting, freshly prepared meals, friendly service, and inviting atmosphere, turned to Plan B, a hospitality design and architecture firm in Dallas for the prototype project. Plan B combined refreshing comfort with simplicity and charm that is signature to Eggs Up Grill. Now, that design has been adapted and rolled out into new restaurants in Georgia, the Carolinas, and Florida, and soon to be introduced in new locations in Virginia, Tennessee, and Alabama.

From the moment guests enter, they are greeted with a light, bright, and cheery atmosphere. The space is designed to provide a comfortable escape that is welcoming and familiar. Whether dining at the counter feeling the energy from the kitchen, at a community table shared with neighbors and friends, or in a cozy nook, guests can choose seating options to suit the perfect occasion or mood. The walls feature artwork specifically designed for Eggs Up Grill that pays homage to its namesake, the Egg.

Each restaurant is 2,300 to 2,800 square feet with seating for approximately 85 guests. Guests will enjoy an upbeat, friendly dine-in experience as well as a convenient pick-up station, which allows for convenient access for online orders and third-party delivery. In addition there is a special emphasis on finding real estate that can accommodate patio seating, enabling guest to enjoy the outdoors and for those not yet comfortable with interior dining. The Brand continues to innovate for future locations, including its first pick-up window debuting at the new Rome, Ga., Eggs Up Grill opening March 2021.

During his career, Carucci has constructed and developed more than 450 restaurants in more than 35 states and held executive positions for multiple chain restaurant companies. His experience spans the industry, including work with quick service, fast casual, casual dining, buffet style, and fine dining. His specialties include real estate acquisitions, building and ground leasing, property development, entitlements, design and construction management, and facilities maintenance.

“Walt was instrumental in contributing to the design and construction of the company-owned Eggs Up Grill prototype in Spartanburg, South Carolina, and now assists franchisees daily with the design and construction phase,” said Todd Owen, vice president of franchise sales and development for Eggs Up Grill. “He helps save our franchisees money and time so they can focus on getting their restaurants ready to open to our guests.”

With locations across the Southeast – Georgia, Florida and the Carolinas, Eggs Up Grill offers its full menu, open to close, for dine-in, takeout, or delivery. Menu categories include breakfast sandwiches, benedicts, omelets, pancakes, waffles, French toast, as well as classic breakfast entrees, home-fry bowls, and fan-favorite muffins.
