Sister Wing Brands Launch New Menu Offerings to Celebrate Summer
June 10, 2021 // Franchising.com // Hurricane Grill & Wings and Buffalo’s Cafe are kicking-off the summer months with new menu items inspired by classic boardwalk favorites for a limited time. Available at the sister brands’ locations nationwide from June 14th through August 22nd, the seasonal menus feature summertime comfort foods and refreshing beverages that will transport guests right to the beach.
The limited time menu at Hurricane Grill & Wings features Crunchy Broccoli Salad (Broccoli salad with cabbage, tomatoes, red onions, cucumbers, tortilla strips tossed in a Honey Lime dressing and topped with Grilled Shrimp); Fried Clam & Popcorn Shrimp Po'Boy (Hoagie roll stuffed with fried clams and popcorn shrimp, tomato slices, romaine lettuce and drizzled with remoulade sauce and a slice of lime); Fried Clam Basket (Fried clams, natural cut fries and cole slaw with a side of remoulade sauce); and Sweet Funnel Fries (Strips of fried dough topped with powdered sugar and served with Hershey's Chocolate Sauce for dipping).
At Buffalo’s Cafe, the limited time menu items include Deep Fried Corn on the Cob (4 pieces of corn on the cob with chipotle sauce, shredded cheese and cilantro); Coconut Shrimp Dinner (Coconut encrusted fried jumbo shrimp served with curly fries, Cole slaw, garlic toast and pineapple habanero dipping sauce); Fish & Chips (Beer battered fried grouper with fresh cut tumbleweed potato chips, Cole slaw and malt vinegar for dipping); Sweet Funnel Fries (Strips of fried dough topped with powdered sugar and served with Hershey's Chocolate Sauce for dipping).
Guests at both restaurants can cool off with new drink offerings that include Samuel Adams Summer Ale, an American wheat ale with a citrus blend of orange, lime, and lemon peels with a touch of paradise spice, Boardwalk Lemonade, made with vodka, simple syrup and fresh lemon juice, or Boardwalk Punch, made with Papa's Pilar Blonde Rum, dark rum, orange juice, lime juice, grenadine, and a dash of bitters.
“As summer approaches, we wanted to introduce new menu items that are reminiscent of the food and drinks found at Coney Island, the Santa Monica Pier, or other iconic boardwalks across the U.S.,” said FAT Brands CEO Andy Wiederhorn. “Traveling to the beach might not be realistic for everyone as the nation starts to open up again, so we hope these new offerings satisfy our customer’s cravings for their favorite boardwalk foods.”
