Pigs Fly! Hurricane Grill & Wings Launch Pork Wings in Honor of National Chicken Wing Day
Veteran Chicken Wing Brand Applies Legendary Recipe to New Meaty Medium
July 29, 2021 // Franchising.com // LOS ANGELES - FAT Brands, parent company of Hurricane Grill & Wings and eight other restaurant franchises, is celebrating National Chicken Wing Day (July 29) by shining a spotlight on chicken’s fellow farmyard friend, pork. In honor of the holiday, Hurricane Grill & Wings will launch a first-of-its-kind Pork Wing for the holiday.
Hurricane Grill & Wings’ mastery of their namesake staple will be on full display in their unique departure from the classic chicken wing. Pork Wings will be served as bone-in, succulent bites made from pig shank. In-store customers can choose from two mouthwatering sauces – Sweet Red Chili or BBQ – to enjoy alongside the one-of-a-kind wing offering.
“For National Chicken Wing Day, we wanted to inspire our wing-loving customers to try something new,” said FAT Brands CEO Andy Wiederhorn. “Chicken wings are a staple at Hurricane; however, we thought since it is a holiday after all, we can give them some break for the day.”
