Fuzzy’s Taco Shop Recognized for Top Food and Best Franchise Culture by Franchise Business Review Franchise Satisfaction Awards
Franchise Satisfaction Awards determined by franchise owners for brand performance and satisfaction
August 11, 2021 // Franchising.com // Irving, TX - Fuzzy’s Taco Shop, the Texas-based Baja-style restaurant brand with a cult following, receives two awards from the 2021 Franchise Business Review (FBR) Franchise Satisfaction Awards in the “Top Food” and “Best Franchise Culture” categories.
FBR is an independent market research firm serving the franchise sector. They provide ratings of franchise opportunities based solely on survey research that measures franchise owner satisfaction and performance.
For this year’s research on the Top Food Franchises, each survey participant was asked 33 benchmark questions about their franchisor that focused on areas such as leadership, training & support, financial opportunity, and core values as well as 16 more personal questions concerning their business lifestyle and overall enjoyment of running their franchise. This year, 30 brands scored high enough to exceed FBR's benchmarks for the Top Food Franchises award list.
According to FBR, the 30 award-winning food franchises that made the list were lauded for their ability to support and work with their franchisees to navigate all the challenges thrown at them this past year.
“Our focus and strategy last year was to remain calm and keep a continuous, open dialogue with our franchisees so they felt supported and equipped to navigate every scenario no matter what restrictions were thrown at us throughout the year,” says Jessica Wescott, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Fuzzy’s Taco Shop. “Receiving this award is incredibly validating because it lets us know that our approach was not only recognized by our franchisees but that it was successful.”
Additionally, Fuzzy’s Taco Shop was included in FBR’s Culture100 Awards which recognizes franchises rated highest by franchise owners for leadership, mission, community, and overall satisfaction. To identify the companies on the Culture100 list, FBR analyzed 18 months of data from nearly 25,000 franchise owners, representing 224 franchise brands that participated in their research on the best franchise cultures. The brands that were selected received the highest overall ratings based on 12 questions specifically focused on Leadership, Core Values, Do They Enjoy Being Part of the Organization, Do They Feel Valued, and Would They Recommend Their Franchise to Others.
“Fuzzy’s culture, with our team members as the cornerstone, is what makes our brand unique, and ultimately is at the core of what our franchisees buy into when they sign on to join the Fuzzy’s family,” said Wescott. “Our fun, laid-back vibe is something we instill throughout our entire brand from corporate, to our franchisees, and is what our guests keep coming back for time and time again.”
Fuzzy’s Taco Shop was founded in 2003 in Fort Worth, TX on the foundation of serving quality Baja-style Mexican favorites at an approachable price. Throughout the years, the fast casual restaurant brand has earned a cult following for its laid-back atmosphere, paired with signature Baja-style tacos, famous chips and queso and icy-cold beverages always served at a chill price.
