Take 5 Oil Change Takes Action to Help Victims of Hurricane Ida
September 10, 2021 // Franchising.com // CHARLOTTE - Take 5 Oil Change®, founded in Louisiana in 1984, has long been a supporter of the local communities in good times and in the face of disasters. With the recent devastation caused by Hurricane Ida, Take 5 is ready to help again, through the Take 5 Employee Hardship Assistance fund. Grants will be available to help employees in Louisiana facing financial hardship due to significant damage to their homes or evacuation and other storm related expenses.
Take 5, which was acquired by Driven Brands in 2016, first started in Metairie, LA nearly three decades ago.
“At Take 5, we have a service-oriented culture,” said Danny Rivera, Executive Vice President and Group President, Maintenance for Driven Brands. “Not only in how we treat and help our customers but also how we treat and help each other. We created the Take 5 Employee Hardship Assistance fund several years ago for situations such as this. We are there to help members of our Take 5 family who need the financial assistance to deal with any hardship caused by the recent storm.”
“We are saddened by the devastation that we have seen as a result of Hurricane Ida, and we want to help take care of our members of the Take 5 family that need the assistance,” said Falconer Warren, Director of Charitable Foundations for Driven Brands. “In addition to the Take 5 Employee Hardship Assistance fund, we are also formalizing a partnership with the American Red Cross to collect donations from customers at all open Take 5 Oil Change locations in Louisiana to support the disaster relief effort.”
In addition to the support provided through the Take 5 Employee Hardship Assistance Fund, the partnership with the American Red Cross has raised more than $5,000 so far.
