OXXO Care Cleaners Hosts their First Annual School Supplies Drive

The neighborhood dry cleaners aim to collect and distribute 1,000 supplies to families in the neighborhood.

July 20, 2022 // Franchising.com // Hollywood, FL - OXXO Care Cleaners® announced that they will be hosting their first annual school supplies drive, committed to collect over 1,000 supplies for everyone in the community and distribute them on August 6th, just before the school year starts.

Since its inception in 2001, OXXO Care Cleaners has always found ways to give back to the community, through clothing donations, fundraisers for different organizations and donating their time to causes such as Rebuilding Broward, Feeding South Florida, Beach Sweeps and walking alongside warriors to raise awareness for breast cancer, mental health, and battered women.

This time is no different. “Guided by our caring philosophy, the goal is to serve as many families as possible.” Says Nilma Fernandez, Managing Director of OXXO Care Cleaners. “Our main goal and slogan of the campaign is that we want to help our Broward County Children be prepared to succeed in the classroom, and furthermore, achieve all their dreams”, she added.

“We want to make sure the children in our community have the resources they need to start the 2022-2023 school year in great shape, and we just want to give back to our community who has been so kind to us throughout all these years” said Salomon Mishaan, President of OXXO Care Cleaners.

Customers and employees will be able to donate in-kind items such as backpacks, pencils, erasers, highlighters, pencil pouches, notebooks, folders, crayons, etc. Cash contributions are welcomed as well and can be placed at a donation jar. This Back-to-School Drive will run through July 31st, 2022.
