Genghis Grill General Manager Lindsay Pafumi Achieves National Recognition
October 12, 2022 // Franchising.com // DALLAS - Genghis Grill (Genghis), the nation’s leading fresh bowl concept with locations across the South and Midwest recently announced that its General Manager, Lindsay Pafumi, was presented with the Operator of the Year award at the brand’s 2022 Franchisee and General Manager Conference.
Held in Fort Worth, Texas from September 19-20, the conference honored individuals like Pafumi, for their excellence in 2022 while celebrating the brand’s overall growth and success. This was the first in-person conference the brand has had since pre-pandemic, and was attended by over 200 operators, franchisees, support center staff and vendor partners.
“This is the first time in many years that Genghis Grill has hosted a conference for all of its franchisees and general managers, and I look forward to continuing this tradition of recognizing individuals for going above and beyond to serve their community and build lasting relationships with their staff,” said Gregg Majewski, CEO of Mongolian Concepts, the powerhouse management group behind Genghis Grill, Flat Top Grill and BD’s Mongolian Grill. “We have several big initiatives planned for 2023 and team members like Lindsay Pafumi have played a big part in our ability to innovate and grow together.”
Pafumi received the Operator of the Year award for demonstrating such strong integrity, creating an outstanding staff culture, an amazing internal restaurant operations scorecard, as well managing best-in-system food costs consistently – not an easy feat during this time of fluctuating prices and uncertainty in the nation’s supply chain. “For me, this was the easiest decision I’ve made all year, to name Lindsay as our Operator of the Year. She exemplifies what our ideal operator for Genghis Grill should be and is a shining role model to the rest of our system’s leaders,” adds Majewski.
“I’m grateful to be recognized as Operator of the Year, but I couldn’t have done it without the support of my team,” said Lindsay Pafumi. “We’ve been able to create incredible relationships and I’m excited to see what the next year will bring with all the new exciting news that was shared at the conference.
Shortly before the conference took place, Pafumi was promoted to Area Manager for the four North and South Carolina locations – now adding managing managers to her list of responsibilities.
