Scooter’s Coffee Continues Growing in Nevada

Business Partners Sign Multi-Unit Agreement with National Coffee Brand

January 06, 2023 // Franchising.com // OMAHA, Neb. - Scooter’s Coffee, LLC, the Midwest-based drive-thru coffee franchise experiencing record-breaking growth, continues its expansion throughout the United States by bringing its world-class drive-thru coffee locations to Henderson and Centennial Hills, Nevada.

The expansion into the Las Vegas suburbs is the result of a four-unit franchise agreement signed by Ricardo Mogollon and Jerry Nesbit. Mogollon and Nesbit have worked together for years, and co-own two other businesses. They were looking to diversify their investments and thought Scooter’s Coffee would be a good fit. “We liked their philosophy and their business model, especially the small footprint of the drive-thru kiosk,” said Mogollon. “As I’m from Colombia, I’m very familiar with coffee, and Scooter’s Coffee has a good product.”

Scooter’s Coffee, based in Omaha, Nebraska, specializes in artisan espresso drinks, fruit smoothies, baked-from-scratch pastries and features its signature drink, the Caramelicious®. The company also recently added depth to its profile with a line of organic hot and iced teas, single-origin coffee, and Cold Brew & Cream.

According to the latest market trends compiled by the National Coffee Association, 60 percent of Americans drank coffee in the past day. That’s more than reported drinking tea, juice, soda, or even tap water! And the number of people who reported buying coffee at a coffee shop or restaurant has risen 20% since January of 2021. The drive-thru coffee model, already popular in our fast-paced society, has boomed during the pandemic, giving customers a way to get a delicious beverage while staying socially distant. Scooter’s Coffee kiosks, with the Brand Promise of “Amazing People, Amazing Drinks… Amazingly Fast!®” is helping Americans meet that demand.

“I’m very interested in the marketing and customer service aspects of it all,” said Mogollon. “I want to figure out new ways to drive traffic to our businesses.” Mogollon and Nesbit are already considering buying another Scooter’s Coffee location that’s already open for business in the Las Vegas area.

“There’s so much potential for Scooter’s Coffee in Las Vegas,” said Kelly Crummer, Scooter’s Coffee Senior Director of Franchise Recruitment. “We are excited to onboard new franchisees and feel Ricardo Mogollon and Jerry Nesbit will help us grow our brand throughout the area.”
