Happy Joe’s Online Ordering Delivers a Big Win for Everyone

Iconic Midwestern brand’s nationwide delivery of unique pizzas, driving increase in sales

With its recent leadership change and focused expansion efforts, customers in Texas, Florida and even Egypt will get to try Happy Joe’s unique culinary creations like its famous Taco Joe Pizza and creative Sloppy Joe Pizza by making the short drive from their homes. But for those without a Happy Joe’s nearby, their inventively delicious pizza fix is just a push of a button away.

Happy Joe’s partnership with Goldbelly, an online marketplace for gourmet foods from iconic restaurants and chefs, was a natural agreement made in Happy Joe’s Heaven where fans of the Iowa-based pizza chain, can now order their favorites from each of the 50 states. It’s been a hit for the brand too, with Happy Joe’s seeing triple the number of pizzas ordered online per month since it started working with Goldbelly.

“Our Taco Joe Pizza is an icon and put us on the map, but if you didn’t live in the Midwest, you couldn’t try it without making the trek into Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota, Missouri or Wisconsin,” said Happy Joe’s CEO and Chief Happiness Officer Tom Sacco. “This Goldbelly partnership has been a gamechanger for us because now if you grew up in Moline, Illinois, but live in Las Vegas, you can still get your favorite Happy Joe’s pizza delivered to your door overnight!”  But what makes the partnership Golden, is if you didn’t grow up in the Midwest, and have heard the myths about Happy Joe’s creating Magical Memories, now anyone, anywhere across our country, can partake in Happy Joe’s iconic pizzas.”

Happy Joe’s pizzas feature a unique combination of toppings like the tangy BBQ sauce, hickory-smoked beef with a blend of cheddar, mozzarella and provolone cheeses found on its BBQ Beef Pizza or the sweet tomato sauce, Canadian bacon, sauerkraut and a blend of mozzarella and cheddar cheeses found on the Happy Joe’s Special. The pizza options are matchless, which is why Happy Joe’s has had to increase its maximum daily online order production allotment.

Since beginning its partnership with Goldbelly last year, Happy Joe’s has seen an increase of over 100% in total online pizza sales and the number of orders sold each month has tripled to upwards of 240 per week. The brand recently increased capacity up to 400 orders per week to meet the increasing demand. The Taco Joe Pizza 2-pack accounts for 30% of sales, but customers are branching out and trying other flavors and Happy Joe’s fun promotions, like heart-shaped pizzas available around Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Birthday, or any special occasion.

“We still make all our pizzas fresh, in store, so you’re not getting an assembly line pizza. This is pure quality shipped straight from our restaurant oven to your home or office,” said Sacco. “We see tremendous growth potential further down the road with this option and we’re happy to do it because Goldbelly helps us spread the Happy Joe’s magic and build more memories until we can open a restaurant in your hometown.”

Happy Joe’s will also be adding its famous Happy Joe’s Spicy Taco Sauce bottles to its online ordering capacity on Goldbelly later this year.
