Fast-casual restaurant signs area development agreement with existing franchisee

June 20, 2023 // Franchising.com // JACKSON, Miss. - Newk’s Eatery announced it has signed a three-store development agreement with Mooney Restaurant Ventures, LLC for Memphis and the surrounding area.

Mooney Restaurant Ventures is led by Dr. Spencer Mooney who has operated several very successful Newk’s Eatery restaurants since 2007. He recently purchased three existing stores in the Memphis market and agreed to develop three additional locations in the surrounding area.

“I’m incredibly honored to become a bigger part of the Newk’s family,” said Mooney. “The Memphis metropolitan area is a wonderful market for us. Memphians appreciate fresh, delicious food and we can’t wait to build relationships in the communities we serve as we bring Newk’s to even more people.”
