ZIPS Names Jennifer Hall Field Training Manager

Former Store Operations and Development Manager Returns to National Garment Care Franchise To Strengthen Training Team and Offer More Face-to-Face Support for Operators

October 05, 2023 // // SAVAGE, Md. - ZIPS Franchising LLC is pleased to announce that Jennifer Hall, formerly a Store Operations and Development Manager for the company from 2008 to 2019, has rejoined the organization as Field Training Manager. She reports to Training & Development People Manager Jennifer Davis and is based in the company’s corporate headquarters here.

In addition to institutional knowledge acquired over her previous 12 years at ZIPS, Hall brings extensive experience in project management and field recruitment and training to her new role. Aside from her many years at ZIPS, her career has included roles as a national account manager for Bayard Advertising, a recruitment marketing firm helping companies fill open positions, and as operations project manager with home-cleaning company The Cleaning Authority, where she worked with the corporate operations team and franchise owners on training, recruiting, onboarding, marketing, real estate selection, vendor account setup, supply and equipment purchasing, software needs and more.

At ZIPS, Hall is focused on identifying and monitoring training needs throughout the organization as well as helping to design, plan and implement training programs, policies and procedures to fulfill those needs. Her day-to-day tasks include providing ongoing in-field training support to store employees, managers and franchisees, executing and validating both the ZIPS Certified Trainer and Manager in Training programs, overseeing training to implement new ZIPS operations programs and procedures, ensuring that all training materials and programs remain current, accurate and effective, and more tasks as needed.

“I'm thrilled to return to ZIPS and look forward to working with franchisees on building successful training cultures that aid in the success of their employees and, ultimately, their businesses,” said Hall.

Hall’s years of new employee and ongoing development training as well as her previous tenure at the chain during a time when the chain grew from only a dozen to more than 60 locations give her a distinct advantage in understanding the business model and industry challenges presented to current and future ZIPS operators, Davis explained.

“We are delighted and honestly quite fortunate to welcome Jennifer back to our organization,” she said. “Her overall experience and her specific familiarity with ZIPS make her an incredibly valuable asset to our corporate and field operations. In particular, she is lending great value as we develop and implement a Certified Trainer program and is helping to make each of our company locations a ‘shiny penny’ to inspire and illuminate our franchisees as we work with them to grow our brand."

Hall studied communications, hospitality administration and management at Montgomery College in Rockville, Md., and separately earned certificates as an Environmental Dry Cleaner, Professional Wet Cleaner, and Professional Dry Cleaner, all through the Dry Cleaning and Laundry Institute (DLI). She is an avid Disney fan and former Disney castmember, an accomplished long-distance runner who has competed in eight marathons and one ultramarathon, and served as a volunteer wrangler and bout manager for the DC Rollergirls roller derby league. She is also passionate about animal welfare and rescue, and will soon welcome a new rescue dog, Milo, into her home.

ZIPS is currently engaged in a system expansion initiative. The company is seeking ambitious, business-savvy investors interested in taking part in the $10.5 billion garment care segment, independent and competitive dry cleaners wanting to align with a well-established brand founded on more than 100 combined years of garment care expertise, and existing single- and multi-unit operators interested in selling their business.
