Cinch I.T. to Host Red Carpet Event for Ruck March Film Screening

November 02, 2023 // Franchising.com // WORCESTER, MASS. - Cinch I.T is announcing a red-carpet documentary film screening to showcase its 2023 100-Mile Ruck March Challenge and Kid Ruck Event. The production of the documentary film and accompanying red-carpet event for its release are intended to celebrate those who took part in this year’s march while spotlighting the record-breaking number of charitable donations raised over $180,000 for Why Me & Sherry’s House, a non-profit supporting families affected by childhood cancer.

The suit and tie, red carpet event, will take place on Monday, November 13th, at the Elm Draught House Cinema, located at 35 Elm St. in Millbury, MA. Attending guests are expected to arrive at 6 p.m., with the film premiering at 7 p.m. The family-oriented event has sold out its seating but will have an exciting all-welcomed red-carpet event prior to the documentary airing to help celebrate the massive accomplishment of its record-breaking local charitable donation.

In July of this year, Cinch I.T. hosted its 3rd annual 100-Mile Ruck March Challenge to help benefit families dealing with childhood cancer. The march was hosted by former U.S. Army Ranger, President of Cinch I.T., and Princeton Massachusetts resident, Rick Porter. The 100-mile ruck involved an elite group of 50 athletes rucking (hiking with a weighted rucksack) 25 miles a day for four days. Each competitor camped out on the farm of a local brewery and continued the march each morning at sunrise. Athletes carried everything they needed on their backs as they navigated the 100-mile course, cooked their own meals, set up and broke down their own camps each night, and tended to their feet and bodies as they pushed through one of the most intense heat waves on record.

New to the event this year was a Kid Ruck Event, where boys and girls, ages 6-17, tested their endurance by completing as many one-mile loops on the Seven Saws Brewery trails as they could during the allotted time.

“This year’s 100-Mile Ruck March physically and mentally tested all of us and the new addition of the Kids Ruck Event was a welcomed site,” said Porter. “We can’t wait to showcase the efforts of the selfless individuals involved and the local businesses who offered their support. We want to extend a huge thank you to each athlete who took part, Seven Saws Brewing, Milk Room Brewery, Stone Cow Brewery, and Oakholm Brewing for their hospitality along the way, and Elm Draught House Cinema, for hosting our red-carpet film screening. This is a very exciting time across the board for all of us, our Cinch I.T. brand, and Why Me & Sherry’s House.”

Following the now sold-out Nov. 13 premiere, the documentary will be released on YouTube, making it accessible to all and allowing it to be utilized as a recruiting tool for next year’s 2024 100-Mile Ruck March Challenge.

Through thick and thin, the athletes who participated in this year’s 100-Mile Ruck March Challenge are incredibly proud of their efforts, knowing they benefit families enduring the much more difficult challenge of battling pediatric cancer. This year’s march raised a sum of over $180,000 for Why Me & Sherry’s House.
