Twin Peaks Teed Up to Raise Funds for Tunnel to Towers Foundation

Restaurant chain continues partnership with 9/11 charity with multifaceted fundraising support

November 13, 2023 // Franchising.com // DALLAS - Twin Peaks Restaurant, the ultimate sports lodge featuring made-from-scratch comfort food and scenic views, continued its storied history of supporting local causes through the second annual golf tournament, Twin Peaks Heroes Open, benefiting the Tunnel to Towers Foundation. The event took place Thursday, Nov. 2, at Bear Creek Golf Club in Irving, with all proceeds benefiting Tunnel to Towers.

“We were excited to tee off in support of Tunnel to Towers,” said Joe Hummel, Twin Peaks’ CEO. “This is an amazing organization that supports our nation’s firefighters and their families, and we are proud to do our part to help them raise money in honor of our fallen heroes."

Last year, Twin Peaks raised $100,000 at its inaugural tournament for Tunnel to Towers to provide mortgage-free homes to Gold Star and fallen first responder families. The Tunnel to Towers Foundation is a charitable organization tributing New York Fire Department firefighter Stephen Siller, who died on Sept. 11, 2001. This year, the Twin Peaks Heroes Open raised $105,000 towards their cause, which will benefit families of first responders.

The golf event is the latest of a slew of Twin Peaks events benefitting Tunnel to Towers. . Earlier this year, the brand kicked off the professional football season with their signature “Touchdown Donations” - donating $10 to Tunnel to Towers for every touchdown this season. Starting Nov. 11, guests may add a special ‘tip’ for Tunnels to Towers on their in-store tab, or can get in on the action by making their own donation here.

“Twin Peaks is far from just another sports bar,” said Chairman and CEO of the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, Frank Siller. “Our ongoing partnership with Twin Peaks provides diners a unique way to express their gratitude and support for America’s Heroes.”

In addition to the golf tournament, Twin Peaks will honor current and past service men and women this Veterans Day. On Nov. 11, veterans will receive a FREE meal at Twin Peaks during lunch. Retired and inactive military members can choose from a Cheeseburger, Chicken Tenders, a Caesar Salad topped with either grilled chicken or shrimp, or Smoked Chicken Street Tacos. They are also invited to donate to Tunnel to Towers to receive a $5 off card valid during December.
