November 29, 2023 // Franchising.com // WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Titus Center for Franchising at Palm Beach Atlantic University recently awarded five scholarships to outstanding students during the center’s November Advisory Board meeting. There were more than 30 applications for the five scholarships which are provided by or in honor of prominent franchise professionals. Each scholarship is valued at $2,500.

“Thanks to our generous benefactors, Titus Center has once again been able to financially assist five of our outstanding students,” commented Dr. John P. Hayes, CFE, director of the center. “Our total scholarship endowment is approaching $400,000. We only use interest from the endowed funds to pay scholarships. Our goal is to attract five more benefactors and exceed $1 million for our scholarship fund.”

Scholarships were awarded as follows:

  • The Don Dwyer, Sr. Scholarship, named after the renowned founder of The Dwyer Group, was awarded to Delaney Hetzer. Hetzer has exhibited exemplary commitment to the Titus Center as an intern and continuously showcases leadership qualities and a strong understanding of the franchise ecosystem.
  • The JJ Prendamano Scholarship was awarded to Carson Quinn, a senior who has completed several internships while at PBA. The scholarship, named in memory of JJ Prendamano, a former leader at United Franchise Group, recognized Quinn’s dedication to franchising.
  • The Seiber Family Scholarship, provided by Geoff and Sherri Seiber, executives of FranFund, Inc., was awarded to student-athlete Alessia Passerini. In selecting Passerini, the Seibers commented about her dedication to academics and sports.
