Cosmetology Students Invited to Showcase Creativity and Earn Scholarships in Sport Clips Haircuts “Battle of the Hair”

December 20, 2023 // Franchising.com // GEORGETOWN, Texas - Sport Clips Haircuts, the leading franchise dedicated to men’s and boys’ hair, is challenging the imagination of current cosmetology and barbering students in the annual Battle of the Hair: Student Edition. The deadline for entries is February 10.

Year after year, Sport Clips is a top career destination for cosmetology school graduates. To honor these future professionals, Sport Clips hosts the “Battle of the Hair”, a contest that rewards up to six top performers and their instructors with a free trip to the Sport Clips National Huddle in Nashville. Once there, students will receive a private, hands-on haircutting class, a prize package with tools and products, and one student will earn a $5,000 scholarship.

“This event is a great opportunity for cosmetology students to show off their creativity and technical knowledge of cutting hair,” said Linda Casillas, future professional talent and content creation specialist for Sport Clips. “It’s such a privilege to welcome these students to our huddle each year and give them insight into our industry and our brand.”

To enter, students must be enrolled in a cosmetology or barbering school between the dates of December 1, 2023 and February 10, 2024. To participate, future professionals must select a model, perform an original and unique haircut, and submit three before and after pictures for evaluation by a panel of haircare experts.
