Sylvan Learning Opens State’s Only Center in Topsham

May 10, 2024 // Franchising.com // TOPSHAM, Maine - Sylvan Learning has opened its only Maine location in Topsham at 49 Topsham Fair Mall Road, Suite 19 in the Topsham Mall near JOANN Fabric and Crafts.

Sylvan Learning of Topsham is owned and operated by Leah LaClaire who has owned Vermont’s only center in Essex Junction for four years. She was born and raised in Maine and knew she wanted to bring a Sylvan to her home state when presented with the opportunity.

“Having grown up in the area, I know there is a huge demand for a Sylvan in Maine,” said LaClaire. “I left the state for college and to start my career in education, and now I’m thrilled to bring what I’ve learned home with me. I look forward to being a one-stop, all-subject resource for students seeking support throughout their academic journey.”

Sylvan Learning serves as a key resource for students as they work to recover from pandemic-related learning loss. Sylvan’s proven tutoring approach and advanced technology-based curriculum are designed to give each student a personalized, trackable plan to achieve their educational goals.
