August 20, 2024 // Franchising.com // CARTERSVILLE Ga. - The Honey Baked Ham Company®, the iconic brand known for its premium hams and delectable feasts, recently announced new ownership of the Cartersville, GA location. The store is now owned by husband and wife, Todd and Laycie Ewing, along with their daughter, Elizabeth Ewing, after purchasing the store on June 24. The Ewings plan to update the building and lunch café with new renovations beginning soon.

Todd brings over three decades of sales and business experience to the venture, coupled with Laycie’s career as an attorney. Additionally, Elizabeth has several years of sales and management experience and is eager to translate those skills into her family’s new business with the beloved legacy brand. With deeply rooted ties in the brand lasting over 30 years, the Ewings are well suited as the new local owners of the store in Cartersville.

“Not only have we been customers of HoneyBaked for decades, but my wife’s family owned several ham stores when we first met in college - and now we are looking forward to playing a part in its growth while also creating a legacy for our daughter,” said Todd Ewing. “Along with the brand’s historic household name, we also appreciate the company’s commitment to innovation which will attract yet another generation of consumers. And we are looking forward to connecting with those throughout the Cartersville area while building on the store’s existing relationships throughout the community.”

Todd and Laycie are putting together a new team of store associates and are planning for new design renovations that will introduce a fresh look and feel for customers to enjoy. Their daughter, Elizabeth, has been tasked as the Business Development Director and will work on sales and marketing for year-round office lunch catering as well as corporate holiday ham gifting.
