Minuteman Press Franchise in Hoffman Estates, IL Prints for Local Social Media Star Frannie the Chihuahua

Thanks to a lead generated by the Minuteman Press Internet Marketing Program, Christian and his team have become the go-to printers for Lisa Laskey, who is the owner of local celebrity Frannie the Chihuahua.
Christian explains, “Frannie is a little chihuahua that is in LOVE with her local postman Dan, and they have a really cute relationship. We met Frannie’s owner Lisa Laskey after getting an Internet Marketing Program lead. Lisa runs a TikTok account about Frannie and Dan called FrannieLife (@lisaandfrannie) that has over 265,000 followers as well as other popular social media channels. Their videos went viral during the pandemic and caught the eyes of local news crews here in Chicago. Lisa also takes her profits and donates them to Almost Home Foundation Schaumburg, a local pet rescue.”
He continues, “After meeting with Lisa, she placed an order we completed for an event called the #FranDan500 that was Frannie and Dan’s 500th run together. The event took place on July 27, 2024 and was covered by local news stations. The order we completed was for a large magnet for the mail van, 35 water bottle stickers, and 200 business cards.”
As for the event, Christian shares, “To celebrate the #FranDan500, we had a full first responder turnout with Police, Fire and EMTs, Hoffman Estates Mayor Bill McLeod and his wife Joanne, as well as other local officials and a group from our Chamber of Commerce. There was also a reporter from ABC7 Chicago, who did an in-depth interview with Lisa and Dan as well. I actually agreed to not take a profit on the magnet in exchange for increased brand awareness and visibility to drive in some more business, and I definitely think it’s worked. I’ve received a lot of inquiries about new projects since the #FranDan500 event took place.”
Following the event, Lisa was thrilled with the quality and service provided by Minuteman Press in Hoffman Estates. Christian says, “Lisa’s reaction to the car magnet was amazing. She and Dan kept saying how great it looked and how glad they were that we came up with a solution that looked so nice. Originally, they were planning on making a large paper banner to tape up. Lisa has been giving us shout-outs on her social media channels as much as possible and recommending people call us for any printing needs.”
“Lisa seems relieved to have found someone literally 5 minutes down the road who can handle all of the various merch products she makes for her fans. We’re both really excited about this partnership since we’re both dog people. After the #FranDan500, Lisa now has my personal cell, and she texts me almost once per day asking about pricing and availability of short run/high profit products.”
What’s next for this budding business relationship? Christian says, “We are currently in the works to design and provide custom 18-month calendars. They’re going to be full 11×17 folded to 8.5×11 on 100# Gloss Text. Currently we are finishing the design for them, and then we will be launching and running a Shopify page for Frannie Nation where her fans will be able to place orders for the calendars in a limited window. We are expecting to have to make anywhere from 3,000-5,000 calendars depending on the number of orders.”
He continues, “I just got off the phone with Lisa, and she’s coming in tomorrow to solidify the calendar design with Don our designer, and we will also be doing a limited run of #FranDan500 merch including mugs, shirts, totes, etc. for fans who wanted something related to the event. On top of that, she just asked about designs for some Christmas ornaments! We’ve also produced these cool custom socks using dye sublimation.”
When asked to sum up the lasting impact of this relationship, Christian shares, “Lisa has tried to send anyone she can our way, and she’s driven in enough traffic that it actually became necessary and worth it to purchase a dye sublimation printer. This has opened up a whole new world of in-house jobs we can take on! We’ve had the machine for less than a week and I’ve already produced 3 profitable jobs with it, in addition to Lisa’s products.”
He concludes, “It just goes to show how far one order can go when you do it right.”
