Potbelly Sandwich Shop Opens First Florida Panhandle Location in Panama City

October 10, 2024 // Franchising.com // PANAMA CITY, Fla. – Potbelly (NASDAQ: PBPB) announced today the opening of its Panama City, Florida location at Pier Park South, the Emerald Coast’s premier shopping, dining and entertainment destination. The new shop will open its doors on Monday, October 14, and to celebrate, the shop is giving the first 100 guests a coupon for a free sandwich on their next visit.

This opening marks the first of two planned Potbelly locations for Florida’s Panhandle as part of franchise expansion into Bay and Walton counties. Local franchisee Zachary Incaudo is the owner/operator and also plans to open a second location within the Emerald Coast region.

"The Emerald Coast has a bustling mix of locals and vacationers, so it is the perfect place for Potbelly fans to experience the joy of toasty sandwiches, fresh salads, shop-baked cookies and hand-dipped shakes,” said Incaudo, who had planned to run the local Potbelly shops with his father before his unexpected passing last year. “It was always my father’s dream to bring a brand synonymous with Chicago to the white sandy beaches we call home. It’s a source of tremendous pride to be carrying forward his vision and introducing the community to the Potbelly neighborhood sandwich shop experience."
